i've finally finished and will now have my master's degree in nursing!!!
i feel like i've been in school for my entire life, but it was well worth it!.
It's so nice to see that so many of us are getting that all important higher education, better late than never!

oompa - yes I have a hubby and very happy I must say. Been married 21 years, that's the other slap in my mother's face I've proved her wrong on sooo many levels, it's great!

i am going to denmark again this year to see jesper and we will be going to berlin and possibly through poland.
anybody got any suggestions or recommendations of places to check out while i'm there?
i will be staying in denmark oct 1 through oct 9.. however on my way there i will have an almost 6 hour layover in atlanta!!

Oportunity to teach and work in upper management
I currently work in the research department for a university hospital - this will open doors for me if I choose that route, to educate patient's and do more research in others areas
Last but not least - I'm an over-achiever!
I know it sounds stupid but everything I do, every goal I succeed in to me is a slap in my mother's face. She told me I'd be nothing more than a whore having baby after baby! Again, I know it's stupid but it makes me feel good to have proven her wrong!

oh, i was pissed off beyond words.. i am leaving, though it looked like i might not for a bit.. we got a big trip planned to the north shore of lake superior where we have rented a geodesic dome cabin, and i was getting the aposta-truck checked and serviced for the long long drive.
i got the platform on the back, built my steel folding ramp, sweet setup so i can take my scoot and have a modicum of freedom and self respect.. all is good until they start the oil change.. i had extensive diagnostic work done at a garage i had trusted and they had said my cooling system was not losing pressure, they took like two days to do these tests.
i figures it must be the radiator cap or the overflow that was doing it.. the oil change guys, who were not the one's who did my diagnostics, found my oil to be like a milkshake!

It's like if you don't believe OJ was innocent of murder it's enough to be called a racist by some people.
Just for the record, I believe that he is guilty of murder and should have gone to jail for murder. But I wasn't on the jury and my opinon didn't count, I can't change that. What I don't appreciate is the "free watermellon and spare ribs" comment - and "blacks not being satisfied until we have complete control". WTF is that about?

I'm going out to celebrate later with some friends, hubby is meeting me for dinner with the kids and I think I'm the most excited person in the state of VA!!!!
I've heard people say, "The JW's aren' t so bad, look how I turned out". I like to say "look how I turned out DESPITE being raised a JW". I'm 42 years old, so I don't ever want to hear from anyone that you are too old to go back to school. It's never too late- get out there and get whatever you desire.

I'm not an OJ Simpson fan, I am AFRICAN AMERICAN and I do take offense at this thread! It reaks of racism and I don't appreciate the generalization in the coments!
I could very easily sit here and talk about all the injustices that WHITE PEOPLE placed on us!
