i love this organization.
i have been involved with the shriner's since i was a child best group of men you could ever meet in your life.
i belong to their counterpart the ladies of the oriental shrine.
My wife benefited from Shriners in St. Louis 40+ years ago. I am a medical courier and picked up specimens at their old facility until recently. It was nice enough but outdated. Shriners built a new hospital in St. Louis and what little I have seen, it is beautiful. Truly a great organization and a REAL charity.

they are doing it again.. a new group trying to boost membership is adding people without permission.. "ex-jehovah's witnesses aka behind the veil of jw.org" added me this afternoon.
they were bragging about how quickly they grew to over 2000 members.
i quickly exited the group.
Somehow I don't remember being added as his friend or to his group, yet I was. I unjoined and unfriended, part of my attempt to unsubcribe from a lot of email, text, and fb stuff I don't read anymore. Too much e-clutter (tm).

I almost married a dub sister in india. Then only 50K dubs in a country of a billion. And they did not beat to the same tune as the boys in Brooklyn. I am sure the Org is milking this one, but why? I will say, the country of India does have wierd regulations. Don't even think of trying to send gold, even a necklace of only black hills gold. Time consuming and expensive.
Glad I got out of that relationship, and shortly after, the cult.

i have been asked twice already where the book can be obtained in spanish and i have told people that the book is not available.. there are ways to make ebooks extremely hard to share.

its saturday morning here on the east coast of america.
i haven't been out in service in probably getting close to two years.
i wake up every saturday extremely happy and thankful im not getting up to go f-ck up my morning and my neighbors morning, not today, not ever again.
I'm lying in bed drinking coffee with my wife, not going out door knocking for over 9 years. Getting ready to go work overtime guilt free.

today at work one of the clients that came in for advice was an elder and his wife.
they must be having issues they need help with.
this elder was the elder that told us not to go to a domestic violence shelter or not to go to the police when my daughter got a black eye.. am i bad because i smiled inside that they are having problems?.
Maybe the elder called out to his god Jehober for help with his problems, nothing happened, and "[we] began to mock them and say: “Call out at the top of your voice! After all, he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought or he has gone to relieve himself. Or maybe he is asleep and someone needs to wake him up!” ".....

so we had brother losch visiting our special assembly day which was weird in itself.
he's not a very good speaker and seemed like he was in dire need of a nap or something.. anyways just a few observations from the assembly program.

well, I guess if my last 2 remaining JW friends hear this bullsh*t they will quit staying in contact with me. one calls on his way from a job that keeps him away from his family days at a time, probably cause he is bored ...really we have nothing to talk about anymore. the other rarely calls but at least gave me a card and a plant when my non-jw brother died recently. I give the latter one credit, he just recently got remarried, so I am sure that takes his attention, as she she should. lol

i've been out of watchtower for some 38 years now and i suppose the lottery is one of their nonoze.
i have nothing morally wrong against it or anyone who enjoys doing it.
I buy them occasionally, just one. I bought one today. Winning comes with its own problems. Hell, you'd have to hire someone to bale all of your mail from all of the unsolicited requests for money, change your address, phone, everything.
I'd be happy with a smaller prize without the required 1 time PR event with the stupid souvenir check, while the PB winner took the spotlight.
