I never read it. Heard about it. I still consider him a friend, though I have lost touch with him. He went by Donuthole here. Ironically, I was on his JC that DF him for apostasy. LOL.

Rick Fearon - Six Screens of the Watchtower

so a friend today asked me what his deal is and i honestly don't know.

i saw someone post about his accusations that the doj is investigating watchtower and people seemed down on the guy, as well has johnny the bethelite or whatever his name is that claims to leak stuff.

i don't know rick fearon, don't watch his show, but his site just seems a little crazy, and he seems to get into occult conspiracies and the jws, which never lends credibility.. so for those of you who have been around a while, what's the deal?

Dubstepped...just type the name Fearon into the search bar at the top of JWN/JWD. You will see threads about Rick and so-called Johnny the Bethelite going back at least 8 years.

Rick is fringe ex dub. He does more harm than good, in my opinion. His "program" is crap, content and quality, with nothing useful that cannot be found on this and other EXJW forums first. His KH protests only prove to current JWs that they are being persecuted and apostates are crazy because this one appears to be so.

I cannot figure Rick's motivation. At the least he should update his "studio" and approach.

In 20 years I will be almost 72. My JW mom will be almost 95. I hope neither JWs or this site are around and it is a distant memory for all of us.

If I recall correctly, I was getting ready to go out in field service (ugh). It would have been shortly before 8 am central time US. I had the news on in the background when something caught my attention. At that point the first plane had hit but not the second and no one on the news knew exactly what was going on. By then cameras were trained on the towers live, so I watched as the second plane hit a few minutes later.

At that point I knew I was not going anywhere except watch tv. It looked like a little model airplane because the scale did not make sense. The horror that it was a full size airliner was scary.

I also remember all of those people trapped above where the planes hit, they could go nowhere. But up or out...and some did...and that was surreal. People holding hands as they jumped to their deaths. I have heard they likely died of shock or heart attack on the way down....but who knows.

I also remember 10 years earlier running a tour to bethel. One of the places we went was WTC. I still have a series of pictures taken from the observation deck of the NYC skyline, pieced together manually. A never again to be gotten picture. And as I watched as the towers collapsed, I thought I could have been there and trapped. And this in a day when cell phones were not as ubiquitous as they are now.

I cannot imagine how much video would be out there now, people live streaming on FB before they died... but this was just a few years before that even started.

As for my JW mindset ....I did not think this was the start of the Big A... or anything like that.... I did not know what to think. I never did really believe deep down it was the truth, but that I was supposed to believe it was the truth. I left JW 6 years later..... and glad my mind is free of that.

May the families of those gone and those still suffering health effects have peace in their lives. They will never be the same.

60 MB Broadband (cable) Internet...do we really need it that fast?

through work, i received a copy of a news release from the local cable company.

that cable company is headed to bankruptcy but until then business as usual.

(kinda like the illinois governor...just keeps going even though doomed).. my question is...do residential customers really need internet to be that fast?

Oh my....how times have changed. I resurrected this old thread, found it looking for something else. I now have 60 mg, wish I had more. I am jealous of those who have gigabit fiber service.

48 years. .... 1970 must have been a banner year for baptisms. She was baptised in Alaska.

i have been out a good 10+ years and until recently didnt pay much attention to what the jehovahs are up to.. why have they taken this turn with the bunker videos and making all the brainwashed people like my parents pack a go bag.

now let me just clarify.

im a military man i believe everyone should have an element of preparedness canned goods,bottled water and a bug out bag is a great addition ( ill stop waffling on about that now).. but what concerns me is the fact they are advising elderly people to bug out.

Elder's phone numbers? Hell try calling them NOW for a Shepherding Call (tm), see how quickly they respond.

Most of my fellow elders couldn't be bothered to help those in need, the elderly, sick, single moms....unless they could reciprocate. There were good men that were exceptions, but they burned out and quit.

Another reason I am glad I am not part of that madness now.

is it true that there's been no new releases at this summer's convention?

if so it will be the first convention in decades perhaps ever to not produce at least a new tract.. how are the r&f explaining this to eachother?

surely they must have noticed the absence?

I went to the international in 06 in Hamburg Germany. Instead of reinvigorating me, it had the opposite effect.

I was emotionally and physically drained. Took a year to pay off that credit card.

I left the Borg in 07.

I see 12 years later Jehoober's Chariot lumbers on.
