  How stunningly gorgeous is this?!!

  since i moved here in february i have been lovely tending to my friend hisbiscus.

  its gone from pruned stems to growing buds to finally flowering.

  this morning when i woke up i was excited to see how the petals had lengthened and seemed about to open - but i had no idea how far.

  Stunning! Crumpet, do you have something called 'Macro Mode' on your camera? Most digital camera's have it, or rather, some have it, but what it does is brings the subject forward for utmost detail and blurs the rest of the picture. Very nice shots though.

  Yes, I do Purple. Im a pretty emotional person. Beautiful songs often bring tears to my eyes, and I am not ashamed to admit it. There are a couple of really important people in my life, more so than anybody else, and right now I think i'll go and give them a big hug to show how much they mean to me. Thankyou Purple!

  ANOTHER 200 Scientists Document Global Climate Change - Yo Deniers!

  another international slate of scientists have released their findings regarding global climate change and human's effect on that (see the above link).. after the last major study released by several hundred scientists a few months ago, it does seem there is a serious concensus here among the leading thinkers and scientists on this issue.

  i know i've banged heads with a few who disagree with this, but it does seem as though that handful of folks who disagree with the science are looking more and more like deniers, as in holocaust deniers, moon landing deniers, etc.. in other words, out there on the lunatic fringe.. so, do you folks think it might be time to reconsider?.

  Whoever disagrees with the system are classed as nutters. Instead of being mature and listening to these theories, we are forced to laugh at people who have out of the box theories and we have learnt to control each other. The people have outsheeped the sheep.

  Hey, thanks Isaac! Your advise is very much appreciated, thank you. I shall check that program out - I tried a google search but after 3 or 4 pages of bullshit websites I gave up. I tried looking around at open source stuff but I didnt have the patience today to look more into it.

  so i laid 1500 sf of sod thursday (approx 2,000 #), and unloaded 1500 # of sand yesterday, and did a whole lot of roto-tilling and raking and dog-turd scooping, not to mention the idiot "helpers" at home depot.. anyway, my poor old body (54 years old) foolishly listened to my 18-year old brain and said (like that little devil on the shoulder): "sure, you can do it, you can do it!!!".

  lol.
