  the july 15, 2015 study watchtower article entitled "your deliverance is getting near", along with the jw broadcasting video entitled "gerrit losch: fortified by "the prophetic word," and chapter 21 of the god's kingdom rules!

  book presented a large amount of new light or clarified understanding of the events of the great tribulation.. here i am presenting it in chronological order -- this is the governing body's updated chronological order of events for the time right before the great tribulation through armageddon:.

  The 1919 issue

  i am not a regular visitor to this site, every now and then then i get twisted up about something i come back lol.

  i am sure this has been discussed many times so a link to another thread would be great or if someone has the patience to explain again please?

  i have read the july 15 2013 wt many times but i simply don't understand the significance of 1919 from the bible.

  But now, you can see the Society is changing the language and the way they speak about 1914 and 1919. Now they are using the phrase "history shows that..." instead of trying to use the Bible to prove those dates.

  Quote from Watchtower, January 15, 2014, Page 13:

  After the enthroned King purged the heavens of the corrupting influence of Satan and his demons, Jehovah directed Jesus to inspect and refine the spiritual condition of his followers on earth. The prophet Malachi described this as a spiritual cleansing. (Mal. 3:1-3) History shows that this took place between 1914 and the early part of 1919.* To be part of Jehovah’s universal family, we must be clean, or holy. (1 Pet. 1:15, 16) We must keep free from any contamination by false religion or the politics of this world.

  Jesus then used his kingly authority to appoint a “faithful and discreet slave.” This slave would provide a regular supply of wholesome spiritual food to all who make up the “one flock” under Jesus’ care. (Matt. 24:45-47; John 10:16) Since 1919, a small group of anointed brothers have loyally carried out the weighty responsibility to feed the “domestics.”

  What is the common denominator that links these references? In each case, the account refers to God’s anointed ones who took the lead during a difficult time of testing. So in the fulfillment of Revelation chapter 11, the anointed brothers who took the lead at the time of the establishment of God’s Kingdom in heaven in 1914 preached “in sackcloth” for three and a half years.

  jesus was a jew who apparently thought he was the messiah, however, after dying, his disciples began to propagate the lie that he would return from heaven during his generation.

  but, his generation passed away, and it was clear that it was a false prophecy, then a dishonest christian wrote the second letter of peter so as to condemn those who realised that the prophecy was a fiasco.

  interestingly, and sadly, this religion survived,....why????

  If you look at Luke chapter 21, and Matthew 24, you'll see that Jesus was simply predicting the Roman armies coming to destroy the Jewish Temple, and that this was His "parasouia" (presence), coming in judgment against the Jews who rejected Him as Messiah.

  This actually was fulfilled within a generation, 37 years later.

  JWTALK - They never asked them to take it down? Do they allow it?

  i recently came across jwtalk and realized it is a huge place that very "prominent" jw post and talk on.. the wt never contacted them and asked them to take it down because it wasn't "official"?

  i thought people were only supposed to go to jw.org for religious matters?.

  does anyone have any information on if/why this website is allowed to be up and have so many higher up jw posting on it without the wt contacting or writing in publications on how we shouldn't be on websites such as that?.

  The "perhaps 4 years" comes from the "Gerrit Lösch: Fortified by "the Prophetic Word" JW Broadcasting Video that was released in April, 2015. Here is the link:

Book presented a large amount of New Light or Clarified Understanding of the events of the Great Tribulation.
  

  Here I am presenting it in Chronological Order -- this is the Governing Body's updated Chronological Order of Events for the time right before the Great Tribulation through Armageddon:

  1. The Final Sealing of the Anointed occurs just prior to the outbreak of the Tribulation. This Final Sealing is when the true Anointed on earth become "once saved, always saved." From this point on they cannot lose their salvation. In addition, the Anointed somehow know in their hearts when this Final Sealing takes place, therefore, they will know that the outbreak of the Tribulation is imminent.
  2. The Cry of "Peace and Security!" happens. This is done by nations who believe they have accomplished getting great peace in several places. It may be one big announcement or multiple ones. The clergy may, or may not join in with the nations in crying "Peace and Security!"
  3. The Tribulation must begin before the Overlapping Generation dies. Some of the Anointed who received their anointing while the Anointed who witnessed 1914 are still alive, must survive until the Tribulation begins. (However, based on the new 2015 Insight Book, this may be changed soon)
  4. The United Nations ("Disgusting Thing") receives extra authority from the nations and outlaws the organizations within Christendom, confiscating their money and property. But the clergy and members of the churches are not killed.
  5. The United Nations then does the same thing to all other religious groups (Babylon), and it appears that they will do it to the Watchtower Society as well. But something miraculous occurs, causing the UN to not harm the Society.
  6. Now begins a short time of calm during the Great Tribulation. This period may last weeks, months, or perhaps even 4 years. Jehovah's Witnesses begin preaching the "Judgment Message" instead of the "Kingdom Good News." People who were formerly in Christendom or the other religious groups lie and hide the fact that they were ever religious. They claim they've always been atheists.
  7. Former members of false religion can choose to repent and assist the Anointed (thus becoming a sheep instead of a goat) as long as the Anointed are still alive. However, most people will choose not to.
  8. Signs in the Heavens and on the Earth now occur. This may be literal or it may be symbolic. We have to wait and see.
  9. A supernatural sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky when Jesus comes to judge the sheep and goats. The goats will know in their hearts that they are goats and the sheep will know in their hearts that they are sheep. The goats will panic and run to caves, and the sheep will lift up their heads.
  10. Gog of Magog (a Coalition of Nations led by the mysterious King of the North) will get upset at the Judgment Message, and attack Jehovah's Witnesses, attempting to annihilate them.
  11. The Gathering of the Anointed occurs. Jesus sends His angels to rapture the remaining Anointed up to Heaven.
      
  12. Jesus arrives, along with the full 144,000 Anointed Ones, and they destroy Gog of Magog and all of the goats. This is the Battle of Armageddon.
  13. Satan and the demons are cast into the Abyss.
      
  14. The Heavenly Wedding Ceremony of Jesus and the 144,000 occurs.
  15. The Millennial Reign of Christ begins.

  The latest publications I've seen (such as "Our Kingdom Ministry" issues and videos on JW Broadcasting), are now saying that JW's can use the Internet to associate with one another, as long as they watch out for apostasy and don't become addicted, or start Bible studies with people in foreign nations. Very different instructions from the past.

  Suggestions for Governing Body 2.0

  i realize many people on here are very angry at the watchtower society and/or governing body for various reasons, many of which are likely justified, at least to some extent.

  i also can totally understand the cynicism and pessimism i see from certain ones regarding the leaders of the society.. i think one thing that's often forgotten or overlooked, however, is the fact that members of the governing body who've been "in the truth" for 30, 40, 50, 60 years, probably truly believe in this organization.

  in my opinion, it's more likely that they believe what they teach instead of being liars who are intentionally deceiving everyone.

  I wouldn't see any problem with the Governing Body 2.0 continuing to point out major flaws in other religious groups, as long as it's not something hypocritical, where the Organization does the same flaw.

  Also, they should never say members of other religions are going to perish because only Jesus is the Judge of the sheep and goats.
