Thanks all for the congrats.
LOL @ Skeeter! I'm just glad to have it all behind me.
HL, law school is a good stepping stone for politics. We had plenty up-and-comers in my class. As for me, HA! There's too much fodder for mudslinging in my past for me to ever consider politics!

I take the bar in July. The law firm I work for is a general practice, so we practice lots of different kinds of law, but we mostly do family law and personal injury. Congrats on getting into law school. I'll PM you with more about law school in general.

Thanks guys. I thought about mailing the card back to her, but I didn't want to be ugly. It wouldn't do any good anyway. I just tossed it aside and refused to let it ruin my day.

"Congratulations on your graduation! Best wishes on your future. You should be proud of your accomplishments. However, none of this would be possible without our loving creator, Jehovah - for he gave us life. Remember Jehovah." (Emphasis hers, not mine.)
i was reading some of the articles my mom brought home and gave to me and i was wondering do the jw's have any good ideas on a good way to live your life.
i mean do they know anything about how to live and what to do when you have problems.
i was wondering because i want to know if i can follow any of the info in questions young people ask book or are they wrong and every aspect and should i just never read it again.
IMO, the best thing to do is to become your own person and develop your own set of morals and standards by which you want to live your life. We can consider the benefits and consequences of certain avenues of behavior, and decide on our own whether or not we want to pursue them. We get better at this as we get older and more mature, and as we gain more experience in life.
Some of your morals may line up with what the JWs believe, and some of them may not. I don't think any of their teachings should be wholly embraced or wholly discarded. We just have to figure out what kind of person we want to be and what kind of life we want to live, and act accordingly.
i think all people can communicate at a higher level for eg how many can times do you and your partner think of the same thing at the same time?
or you can be thinking of a person and they ring you?.
but if you really feel that you are psychic or that you communicate with "dead people" how did you cope with it when you were a witness?.
Court TV runs a show called Psychic Detectives, where real detectives enlist the help of psychics when they've come to a dead-end in a case.

Of course, if it's on television, it HAS to be true!

I'm in Louisiana, and one of our Creole favorites is shrimp and corn soup. Good stuff!
in the battle between apologists and apostates, who do you think more often comes around to the other point of view and why?.
imho, apologists (or trolls) are just potential apostates who need a little more time in the oven.
(in other words, they are not fully baked, only "half-baked.
I think it was a recorded judicial committee that I was listening to where the elder "'warned" the defendant that, of all the DF offenses, 99% of those who are DF for apostacy never come back. He offered this as proof that apostates were under the devil's control or something. Well, obviously...
