as a jw i was brought up to believe the bible was the word of god, didn't contradict itself and could answer all our questions.
i loved the bible and took the words of proverbs 2 literally, where it says if you call out for undestanding and search for it you will find the very knowledge of god.
i studied the bible as jw's recomend, but found that it left me with more questions than answers and this eventually led me out of the "truth," as i discovered many contradictions in both the hebrew and the greek scriptures and instances where the apostle paul even contradicts jesus words.. in the most important event of bible history, (the death of jesus) the gospel writers can't even agree on the sequence of events and who he appeared to first after his resurrection.
Honestly, I do not love the bible.
I resent it.
I resent is and the control its had over my life.
Sorry. If I could think clearly and rationally without the brainwahing interference of the borg, then maybe, just maybe I might have an interst in what the bible has to say.

most of my grades have been above a b but with this class even my friend told me (who is a number cruncher), they gave us an unfair advantage because they threw in all kinds of variables that was a bit too advanced for a person starting out.
the college is going to change this because they realize it is a bit much for "beginners" but we weren't so "lucky" to have it changed for us.

g'day, just wanted to say thanks to everyone here - this site is the best and peeps here are usually friendly.
it is great how this sites supports people, even though i don't even converse with many, it still supports people and you know your not the only one going thru this all.. i'm going to take a few days off and not lurk or post - seriously i need to clear my head, otherwise i will be going mental from too much cult info.

when my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.
the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.
it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.
A ridiculous rule. I remember one young sister getting councelled for wearing 'culottes' (don't know if I've spelt that right). Elders said they were trousers,
She said it was a skirt.
I hasten to add the young sister didn't stick around in the org!

just thought i'd bring you all a noah update as promised.. he's doing well, a good sleeper by all accounts but on the recieving end he's keeping us awake more than enough lol.. mummy is tired, daddy is tired but happy - we got what we wanted - hard to believe this was in megan all this time...weird .
