  Christmas Memories

  after my mom had left my dad, the elders came by pretty regularly.

  they wanted to remind her that she needed to return to her husband because she didn't have grounds to leave him.

  before all this we had so many family members over all the time, cousins and friends our age, but now all of them were gone.

  I'm so confused!

  i'm so confused..my daughter has two teenage children, they are a girl just turned 16 and a boy 17... when i was at her house watching tv with them..they made the kids cover their eyes when sex scenes came on.

  now she just told me they both seperately went with friends to see the last "saw" movie.... since when is sawing someone up ok to watch but not sex?.

  snoozy..a confused grandma...who isn't aloud to voice her opinion....

  I meant in life, not in movies. I would want my children to know that sex is not inherently wrong, but violence - including sexual violence, is.

  If i had teenage children i would prefer them to think sex is okay before sawing or being sawn. Why would anyone want to reinforce to their children that sex is wrong but violence is okay???
  
  I would want them to know that sex is wrong IF violence enters into it... not that violence is wrong if sex enters into it...

  why care about spiritual things?

  i see most of all of you speak in different opinions of what is or may be true spiritual things (while a few ar just freezing cold or dead spiritualy), but i ask all of you, why even bother to care or pretend to care of spiritual things?.

  How can someone decide that another person is "freezing cold or dead spiritually"???? How could this be possible???? No one knows another persons thoughts. No one knows where another person finds their greatest joy or tranquility or who they pray to in their greatest desperation.
  
  To decide this for another person is much the same as the JWs telling us that we need to follow regulations in order to find spirituality. Isn't spirituality subjective???
  
  I once heard a JW (who was actually a thinker and later got disfellowshipped) say his most spiritual experience was flying over the Grand Canyon. My mother later said to me "that was a strange thing for him to say, why would he find spirituality there?"
