  REALLY Think about it before you post

  there is a lot of threads going back and forth both ways, almost like a battle line has been drawn between believers and atheists.

  however, let's just say for the sake of argument, that all religions including the witnesses, are wrong but the bible in itself is right.. everything that it has foretold is going to happen and just as god told noah, in 7 more days i am going to make it rain, but this time he now speaks to all of us and says in just 7 more days i will wipe the earth clean of all those who have or are revolting/disagree against me.. how would you react then?

  I'd choose the NO RELIGION door. There are so many religions the odds are against you choosing the right door, so there's a big possibility you'll end up living a restrained life in the wrong religion.

  When did we stop being customers and start being consumers?

  i really hate the word "consumer" - i see it all the time, in reports, business news, the markets.. consumers aren't consuming, they aren't spending.. a consumer sounds like some brainless automaton whose sole purpose is, well, to consume.

  in the old days we were customers who made purchases - now we just consume.. does anyone else feel the same way?.

  How Did Recieving "New Light" Drive You Crazy and Leave the Witnesses?

  the alledged "new light" !

  having been raised in the witnesses, it never ceased to amaze me how the governing body would take a dogmatic, staunch view of certain things one year, and then turn totally around and totally change their views of certain issues the next year.

  As a witness I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I loved new light. It showed that the organization was progressive and was always looking for ways to improve and get a refined understanding of the truth.

  It wasn't until I read Crisis of Conscience that I realized how new light really came about, and the crap that could have been sold to us as new light (sputnik launch linked to generation that will never pass).

  Then, when I discovered the flip flops, I realized new light was just clever marketing to get us to go along with whatever new policy had been voted by the 2/3 majority.
