  Why do many JWs neglect their health conditions?

  my former bible study conductor has heart problems and very high blood pressure, but doesn't seem concerned about it.

  another witness i knew had heart problems but never went to doctors, & eventually dropped dead suddenly.

  given that cigarette smoking is a disfellowshipping offense, why aren't jws reprimanded when they otherwise neglect & jeopardize their health?

  Just finished our District Convention

  i know i am going to get caught being on here...and i don't want to get caught, but i need support or i will lose my mind.

  how can i give information about my convention without someone figuring out who i am?

  (i am not important i know that, but i know so many people in the organization) .

  What should upset you the most about high gas prices

  your paying so much in gas right now that it has brought out national economy to its knees, and yet the thing that should upset you this most is this .... the goverment is doing "nothing!".

  not one bill has been passed, plan implemented or action taken.

  all talk and no action, which is why our government needs to be fired and replaced or this country is done.. .

  Actually, the problem is that any system that is based on the exploitation of nonrenewable resources is by definition unsustainable and will eventually end. The game is almost over.

  In geological terms, 100,000 years would be considered in an age... this is conceivable for humans, behavioural humans have been around in these sorts of time frames... however when you mention millions of years, this is classified in epochs or periods, then for me it starts to become inconceivable.

  I'm always amazed at how strongly scent is intertwined with memory--the relationship seems closer than any other sense. For instance, I remember the scent of my first girlfriend's hair--the shampoo she used, and any time I smell it a lot of memories come flooding back. We are weird animals.

  Perhaps it is because the sense of smell is the only sense that does not pass through the thalamus on it`s way to the cerebral cortex (touch, sight, sound, and taste do).. it has it`s own processing centre (the olfactory bulb).

  I need some input (Migraines)

  does anyone know of any documented proof that long hair causes migraine headaches?.

  the reason i ask is because my 16 year old son has this head full of curls.

  he also has what we believe to be bad migraines.
