  If they give me enough time before tackling me to the ground I might get in a few other sayings too, but we'll all plan that together later.

  And I'm dead serious about this too.

  So next seasons District Convention I plan on doing something fun. Something that may make us all famous on YouTube.

  Okay, I dress up as an ancient Israelite (quick body robe + beard), and during the drama I run out with a megaphone shouting "NO! I AM THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE!" and wait for the attendants to rush me.

  I need volunteers to film it properly, for posting on YouTube, and I also need supporters to come with me and watch me.

  Let's get this set up ahead of time.

  Suicide

  i know it's a touchy subject, but anyone here has ever thought of suicide while they were still in the organization?

  it seem to me that jehovah's witnesses have a much higher rate of suicide than the rest of the population.

  i contemplated suicide myself when i was struggling to get piece of my life back together after being raised as a "perfect little jw" when i was young.

  I just got out of the psych ward for attemped suicide. Well I had a plan, was close but didn't carry them out thanks to two heroes on this very board who convinced me to check in to the psych ward. I believed no one would believe as has been the case with my family the past few years that say I have no reason to be depressed and just think I'm lazy or unmotivated for other reasons.

  I did however attempt while I was in the ward on leave of absense. A police officer saved me by passing by me before I was about to jump off a freeway overpass (apparently I was swinging back and forth over it). I don't remember it at all as I was blacked out from alcohol, I guess that shows how much suicide was in my every thought, my subconscious was even attempting it. I seriously contemplated again so I kept going back to the psych ward until they wouldn't let me anymore.

  I felt really great for a few days when the meds kicked in. I'm started to get depressed again the past couple days and it keeps getting worse. Probably got used to this dosage (the lowest) It's mostly frustration and hopelessness. I just take each day at a time and try to find things to live for. Like going for bicycle rides, and this upcoming apostafest in Toronto.

  I have nill self-esteem and self-worth, which contributes to my not enjoying even the things I enjoy, if you know what I mean.

  I'd say my depression is 50% loneliness and 50% hopelessness, and 100% cult influenced. I don't know it's a different facet everytime.

  What was your first car?

  mine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!

  the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!

  it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

  Visit from my mom, oh the joy.

  i realize it's been a while since i spun a good yarn, but the past few days i have had my mom staying with us, and that is enough to fuel a yarn if anything ever was.. it starts last week when my sister, mrs po was over at mom's trying to discover why mom's pc seems to randomly shut itself off for no apparent reason.

  i imagine she scoured the house for garage sale items with attached legions of demons or mischievous smurf dolls before noticing a correlation between the ancient prehistoric freezer mom has switching on or off, and the lights dimming and the pc simply going poof.. but it couldn't be this pleistocene menace freezer that is the problems, it has to be the top-end pc i built mom.. please excuse me while i roll my eyes and peer at the back of my skull for a moment or two..... there.. anyhoo, it gets decided that i'll come out and pick mom up along with her pc and bring the both of them back to my house for a few days.. not decided by me mind you, but decided nonetheless.. i mean, i've got a giant truck that chugs gas as if from a fire hose and an electric scooter to ride up to mom's door, why shouldn't i go collect her, haul all her stuff to the truck, load it, help her climb up into the truck and then load my scooter?.

  all from the back of my scooter, mind you.
