How do you guys know that standing firm won't work

so, many of you have rightfully challenged my beliefs that standing firm and telling your families exactly what you feel about the wtbts won't work.... i submit that it doesn't work becasue we don't stand together!

if all of us would stand firm say what we know to be true, do it publically, and not back down then i guarentee you there are many in the congs that want out of this crap and their just too scared to do anything becasue they don't want to lose their families.

in my family there are many that call me privately and tell me they know the wt is a crock of shit but won't stand up against it!

and last but certainly not least.... Junction guy, was mostly just thinking about those who are faders, why not just make a stand and tell folks how you really feel... You are much more brave man than I junction Guy... I'm not an athiest although, the only thing that may casue friction between you and I working together is that you probably pull for the Vols and I'm a UGA grad... But I'm sure we can work through all that.

Questioning Armageddon. How can wife hang onto the Bible? (If she wants to)

jehovah wiping out 99.99% of humanity, babies included, is a "problem" or "question" that i think can be very powerful to use with jw family.

especially when presented from a "i just really have a problem with this idea at a gut level" standpoint.. but i haven't used it with my wife (yet) because i see it as a slippery slope that leads to "jesus believed the whole flood story" so i guess we need to throw out the whole bible.

(which, btw, is the very slope i have gone down.

My intent isn't to make anyone feel badly, I asked the question I asked becasue I think the Bible doesn't make sence. Think of what believers are trying to sell... eating of a fruit casued the death of man! When everything else dies but man wasn't meant to... and the only explaination believers have... a snake told a lady to eat a fruit and becasue someone else ate a fruit we all must die... god reminds me of a drunken redneck coming home and finding his wife cheating./..he kills everyone in the trailer including his wife..., and what did the kids do to desreve this? Nothing!

I agree with alot of what LL said, but doing nothing doesn't work... we're all doing nothing and the WT holds to outdated beliefs and destroys families in the process...It's not about revenge LL... its about change, and nothing will ever change if good folks do nothng. And as for making others think like me, that's not what I want at all... I just don't want my family not to talk to me becasue I don't but into the WT bull.

look at what creeper wrote... there are many like us but too scared to do anything. We ARE RIGHT does that not matter to any of you? Does it not matter that your lives have been ruined and that you're just going to let others suffer the pains you've felt without standing for what is right? Be strong! Think of it this way, they are basically being disrespectful to what you think, telling you that you MUST think what they do or else they'll stop talking to you.. Does that sound right to you? WHat other subjest is this kind of blackmail acceptable? YOu must tell them the "truth" tell them why you think it's a lie... how many changes would this world have benefited from if no one stood for truth...I appeal to you since of justice here... do you think the pain you've expierenced has been warranted? Do you desreve your fdamilies not talking to you? and yet you do nothing, your scilence will ensure that many more will suffter after you! Is that what you want for your families and friends? Pain? Take a stand, there's strenth in numbers!

Tophat, The question remains, what in the physical world leads you to believe that Eve brought death into the world? What makes you think that death is'nt a natural occurance when everythign has and alwys will exist eventually die?

Dr. King stood up aginst injustice and never fired a shot, but the truth of his message was just too clear... our message is just as true... Aren't you tired of not being able to look at yourselves in the mirror? I read too many posts where many of you are beating yourselves up for not making the proper stand; eliminate that shame by "taking arms against a sea of troubble and by opposing end them",,,,,!!!! I'm interested to hear what you have to say!

iwas baptised in 1984 and have never felt like i belonged in jw land .have felt ashamed ,guilty, and worthless for 23 yrs .. i could never do it all.i havent been to a meeting in 6mos.but i have been reading these posts ,and i found out the jw .
