  apparently they never got my letter which i sent like a year ago.

  i had corresponded with them by e-mail to ask them if i was 'announced' from the platform but the po was unaware.

  now, they want me to send letter, again.

  I disagree with those that say you shouldn't formerly D/A... your good name shouldn't be associated with these loons, and by you making a formal stand you show others who have doubts that you aren't ashamed to come forward. Your stand may help others make a stand.

  hello everyone, i haven't been on the forum for quite a while.

  i have been trying to move on with my life i guess and succeeding to some extent - got a new job and getting out and about more etc.

  for anyone that remembers i have a jw son, his wife and a one year old grand daughter who i have been trying to keep in my life after deciding i didn't want to have anything to do with the cult myself.

  I've been missing you Maddie... I remember when we talked previously you knew the consequences, but you had decided that you owed it to the all those associated with the cult, to say what was really on your mind.
  
  It's insane to have loved ones feel they can be speak their minds yet we that know the truth must be silent. What has happened to their thinking? You can live with the fact you did the right thing, and I'm sure you've already asked yourself if the price was worth it, but at the very least you don't have worry your conscience with the burden of not standing firm and doing what was right. Good luck Maddie, I hope things always go well with you..
