as a christian, i find their teachings on christ to be nauseating.. i am looking for a chance to bring out the old russell books and ask them to clear up my confusion about a number of previous teachings.

I haven't read the Divinci Code nor any other fiction for over the last 10 years. I was too busy working on my masters at UGA to even think of such a thing. I didn't take what you said serious, and I hope you won't take what I said too serious either-I love you guys man; but as for you're statement that "any serious historian" or something to that effect thinks the diciples wrote the gospels, I'll bite! Name that tune where you've found a "serious historian" that actually thinks the gospels were actually written by Jesus' apostles. I've never read one, if you tell me of one I'll but the book and read it. No one knows for sure who wrote the gospels my brother!

Sounds like someone needs a history lesson... ever hear of the nicene creed? As if whatever the so called gospels say are the words of his diciples. What? Are you that illerate that you didn't know that the so called gospels were written so many years after Jesus' death that in all likelyhood they were NOT written by the diciples of Christ? So to answer the question... who cares if Jesus worshipped someone besides himself or not? And by the way, you can believe in God and not believe any of the Bible's bull!

so, i go to my jw uncle's funeral for obvious reasons!

after the funeral my family invites me to dinner, something we haven't done for some time (probably 8 years or so) as i'm considered disassociated not disfellowshipped.

i guess this is allowed per the new jw policy but since that crap changes from time to time i'm not sure.

Thanks guys, 17 years I've been mentally abused by these idiots; There was one period they wouldn't talk to me for 3 years.... I'm serious when I say this, they'll never see my face again not unless it's by accident.

After dinner, my sister tells me how sad she is that we really aren't a family any longer and expresses a desire to mend fences. We both had a few burbons under our belt and I thought I sensed doubt in her heart. So, I wrote her a 8 page letter outlining why I dropped out including Beth Sarim and other facts that would make any sane person at least think about what a hoax these morons are. She must have given the letter to the elders as now neither she, my parents nor anyone else in the faimly will talk to me any longer! So I wrote her another letter telling her to never contact me in anyway again. I'm so sick of their crap! I told her that she may think of me as "spiritually dead" but to me the family is brain dead and unable to think squat or crap without the society's permission. Honestly, I feel free!
