Giagal and auldsoul... CO2 is the byproduct of gasoline combustion engines... auldsoul, have you ever taken a chemestry class? This is basic Organic Chemestry which I haven't studdied in 8 years so excuse me if I'm rusty, but by burning Gasoline, human behavior has increased the levels of CO2 that is normally found in the atmosphere. If you want me to drag my old Organic chemestry book out and give you the molecular formula I will but I'd rather you take my word for it. I have a friend that is working in this field at UGA, she knows a damn sight more than I do about it-maybe I can get her in this duscussion this weekend, but it's really this simple... we drive combustion engines that use a carbon based fuel, the by-product of which when combined with oxygen is CO2; throughout our increased use of this engine human behavior has casued an unnatural increase in CO2. How's that?

Who gives a rat's ass about global warming? pollution is a damn problem period, and as long a Bubba Joe in South Alabama continues to refuse wrapping his willy and keeps on having his trailer park kids by the damn thousands we will continue to have too many morons populating and polluting. So, if ther're wern't so many rednecks (and the like) making their mutant children we would'nt even be having this discussion-over population is the problem not global warming. Stick that in your crawls.

Mouthy, You're one of my favorites, but I disagree with you this time. These people are like GW Bush and many others that discredit truth and try to make themselves among the Alpha males when they should be the last to lead... in their minds they can't be wrong especally if they they won't listen to anyone else, won't educate themselves, call others names if they disagree with them-belittle eveyrone else that has knowledge of the subject and lastly deny access to valueable data that proves them wrong. They try to place themselves in the position of God but the sad thing is they're nothing but men and usually (like GW Bush), they're the last ones that should be in a leadership position (see Machavelli) They're corrupt because the absolute power they have corrupts absolutely. No hell no, I don't feel sorry for that bastard; to be in the position he was in he had to think himself special when the only way he was special was that he was especially stupid. Sad that those whom follow this foolish faith can't even question one of the GB without being called names (apostate); and have their lives ruined by this baboon and those like him without being able to engage in mental dialoge with this moron which I believe would prove conclusively that the leaders of this "religon" are nothing more than lunatics. But their followers will never know that, becsause these men think they can't be questioned, that "God's spirit" is directing them... I ask one damn thing to anyone reading this rant, is they're anything more haughty than a claim of this magnitude?

Had The Big Chat with my wife...
by besty inafter being a long time fader and lurking here for a few years i finally had the courage to speak to my wife the other day
she was complaining about how we never get invited back to other jw's houses despite being fairly hospitable ourselves and how she's made some new worldly friends that werre non-judgemental and just nice people.
she also mentioned her mum (also jw but weak - split up from her jw husband) was struggling with the routine and had lots of nice friends out of the kh.

The pain we felt
by KW13 ini'm not talking just about being blanked by old friends and family or having people distancing themselves from you - i'm on about what the organization did to us.
the days when so many of us didn't want to carry on and couldn't possibly or when there didn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel.. i feel better now but i still have my bad days - i cant believe the society get to walk away from the chaos they create.
they have blood on their hands!.

What makes me the maddest is the obvious sham job the whole thing is... anyone with an open mind, that hasn't been brainwashed by seeing the thousands of images of the faithful that survive armageddon while everyone else burns; those like us that have the nerve to see through the mind game it all is-we are the ones that aren't talked to, as if we're inferior. All over a sham job! Whenever one of them doesn't talk to me I want to punch their faces plain and simple... they look down on me because I see through the bull they're too damn stupid to see, and they follow that insult up by not talking to me. I'm sorry, but I want to do them damage sometimes. For all the pain they've casued me-over nothing; for stealing my family's minds-for nothing. And the whole thing isn't backed up with one iota of fact... damn! How can people be so damn stupid that they fall for this crap?

I studdied molecular biology for 3.5 years, until I had to change my major because organic chemestry dropped my GPA to 2.9 which meant I wouldn't get into Augusta medical College. NO one can create life, no one can explain exactly how it came about, no one has ever made anything come to life. We may one day make this happen but up to this point, nothing. Science is desigend to explain the natural casues-up to this point they can't explain why something has life from molecular structures that don't spring to life on their own. Something is happening that we don't understand; we may never understand. It's like being in hell, but what makes me the maddest is that if there's a higher being, it hasn't reveled itself. This is what gives the JW's a point, not a valid point but a point... it seems hard to beleive that there's nothing higher that made this mess when we can't make something come to life. If it was that easy why can't we do it? Right now, we have to say we simply don't know... it may be reveled one day but for now we're clueless. God, if he exists, may have a plan, it may be something better no matter the moniker religion has given it, heaven, new world, samsura, whatever. I'm a dieist in that I think it's all working according to the will of the maker, he wants us to figure it all out on our own, that's why he don't do shit to help us. Religion had it's place, but now that we're becoming more advanced as a species we'll evolve and solve our own problems abd destroy the myths. Obviously, it (whatever we call God) must want us to do this as it don't do squat right now to help us in any way, and it never has... waiting for it to do something is a waste of time. So we better suck it up, work together and make somehting good happen for ourselves. THat is my religion.

Why are people so afraid to question the authenticity of the Bible...
by zeroday infor thousands of years people have taken the bible as the word of god.
what would you do if you found out that it was not.
how would your outlook on the world change.. .

I agree with Jaguar Bass, I find it hard to imagine that anyone would "jump from the fire into the frying pan" of another religion once they've erased the memory of the JW"s behind. Although most religions aren't as harsh as the JW's they are almost as harsh and all of them are clinging onto something that's been disproven. All one has to do is read the Bible with an open mind as they always tell you to do... very little of it is scientifically or morally creditable.
