  this is a fun question that i like to pose in social settings.

  regardless of who your significant other is, i've found that people have a definite preference for hair color.

  what i found even more interesting is that people usually preferred a hair color different than their own.

  After reading many topics.. I'm confused. Is this a JW forum or an ANTI-JW?

  i'm studying with a jehovah's witness and it makes quite a bit of sense but i've been reading many topics on here and it seems that i can find every christian denomination and every religion except jehovahs witnesses.

  do any jw's actually browse here?

  maybe i'm just getting unlucky and picking the wrong topics where everyones discussing about how they used to be jw's.

  Hi Michael,

  I'm a witness, have been for 20 years and so is my wife, we only still go because all her family are witnesses and she doesn't want to lose them (be shunned ) if she decides to leave. You'll find a lot of people here in that situation. This is a high control group, make no mistake, proceed with caution and don't be fooled by all the promises of love and friendship. Trust me, once you commit there is no honorable way out of the organisation. Ask questions and research everything, don't be fobbed off with half baked answers to serious questions.

  Hi All,

  Does anyone have a link to the BBC Panorama programme "suffer the little children" ? - about child abuse in the organisation. The link on the BBC website does not work and I can't find it on google. My wife hasn't seen it, I want to show it to her. When it was originonaly shown, she didn't watch it because she was told not to, but now she's interested in seeing it.

  Ps A link to the CBS programme would be handy too.

  Valmorpharized about three years ago, now inactive, still go to the odd meeting for the sake of my wife (all her family are dubs).

  Happier, kinder, less judgemental, love people again - every crowd has a silver lining.

  Mad,

  I'm a witness in `Good Standing' and I know there is a pedo in our neighbouring congregation. He was an elder and raped his daughters and got off on a technicality. Why is he allowed to attend meetings?. Beats me!! You say these accusations are obscene but can you tell me why this guy is allowed to come to the hall? and nobody told about him? even people with small children?

  And yet a sweet 76 year old lady I know is hounded from pillar to post because she said made some comments about Beth Sarim to another sister. The elders are trying to get her into a judicial comittee to disfellowship her!!

  Why don't they just get a robot to read the Watchtower study, it could randomly pick members of the audience to give an answer and automatically switch the microphone off if the answer is not from the material provided by the FDS.

  what drove me to post on this site was sheer despiration.

  Welcome aboard, you're in good company, a lot of us have crapped on from a large height by this 'loving organisation' so don't feel so bad. We were all dumb for allowing it to happen to us. I find that the more distance I put between myself and the organisation the better I feel, I think you'll find that is a common thread, the hardest part is making the desicion to leave. I wish you well on you're journey to peace and happiness, you sound like a great and caring lady. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to your son.
