Are you asking me? Because I think it's just an other label to judge someone before getting to know them." Before we get our panties in a bind please keep in mind it's a rhetorical question.
I don't wear panties anymore.

define a pothead. Is a pothead someone who smokes occasionally? If so, then a partaker of wine is an alcoholic.

It's foolishness to view marijuana as a soft drug anymore especially since it's potency upped, and as usual the sufferers are our children.
Would you let a pothead look after your kids?
Please think of the children!! Any drug is not good for children and yes I would let a "pothead" that I know and trust thake care of my child I would not let an active JW take care of my child. I have family members that are "potheads" and I can trust them with almost anything but my wife's alcoholic JW stepfather I would never leave my daughter alone with him. Alcohol is legal and kills a lot of people, pot does not. I find that alcoholics are a lot more disturbed then pot smokers. There is a lot of propaganda on pot especially in the U.S.

Defence of watchtower society Links
by reniaa ini thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.
i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.
those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

Like it was said most of the defence is only opinion, I look at "both sides" before I decided what to believe and realised it is not about belief but accepting what is true. It's not easy accepting that we were lied to and manipulated but if you don't want to accept the facts that's your choices. The WT has lied and covered up so many things, just take the bible for example they do not inform their members of all the details regarding the origins of the bible, they leave out the details that cast serious doubt on the god inspired belief. They also do not examine the verses that are absurd, disgusting and contradicting. When an org. like the WT leaves out certain information it's because they what to control your opinion. The WT has more to lose if their members do not accept their excuses, think about that.

Is the World Overcrowded?
by cameo-d inafter playing on google earth today, i couldn't help but wonder if certain places on earth are considered "over crowded".. seems usa and uk are almost totally surveillance societies.
i clicked on a camera and scrolled all over usa.
there are many major cities and densly populated areas that are marked in blue camera surveillance.

Good question. I think the world is not overcrowded just not well managed. For example our homes and cities are very badly designed when it comes to space. For example 60% of a city's space is dedicated to the automobile. We waste a lot of space just to grow food for animals instead of using that space to grow food for us. Also the other point about being watched yes it can get worst but then again I think that the ones that should be watched are the ones that control us. Of course if we were able to watch the ones that have control we would be the ones in control.

WTBTS view on activities in Second Life?
by gaiagirl inmany on this board may participate in the online computer game/visual chat-room simulation known as second life, in which you control an avatar which represents yourself, and intereact in real time with other avatars, which are also controlled by actual people.. what is the wtbts view on activities in second life?
do they have any presence in any "official" capacity in second life?.
if a jw sends their avatar to a club, and causes their avatar to become "intoxicated", will the person behind that avatar be called before a judicial committee?

Will Atheists be Targeted as "The Anti-Christ"?
by cameo-d inwill lack of religious affiliation with a church be the determining factor in declaring one as an "anti-christ"?
if you are not a baptised, signed up, tithing church member somewhere....will this be the dividing line?.
will church membership be the sole criteria of "godliness" in this battle of armageddon?.

The way the WT interprets it is that any body who does not accept the teachings of the WT is the Antichrist. Every christian has his/her take on it.
Missinglink, funny.

There seems to be lots of evidence of a world wide flood.
So I am not interested in reading your friends lenthy article.
Your friend was not around before the flood and has not examined lions that were around before the flood.
I dont believe in the bible but I suspect many of you who are apostates have not turned over many stones to come to your conclusions.
Maybe you left the borg for imorality.
You dont seem to have a basic bible understanding
If you are interested in what you dont believe I would suggest checking out the institute for creation research.
They got many good answers that would stand up in debate.
Science as you use it is as much of a religion as Christianity or Islam.
I can tell you that I did look at all of the "evidence" and it has all been debunked. Science is not a religion. How can you argue saying that and in the same time you say you are not interested in reading the article. these institute you talk about do not have good answers.
Btw you have made assumptions on "many of us". I have turn many, many stones over 4 years. Every day for 4 years I look at the evidence on the bible, science, creationist claims and it is all the same, creationist use the same tactics as the WT to push their agenda.
For someone to say that science is a religion clearly does not understand much about the scientific method.
