Keep up the good work, it's important IMO to "get it out of your system" not that I say this is a phase or what ever but if you need to do something...then do it , it's part of the healing process or it's just what you want to do to make a difference and help others.

by iknowall558 inok...when i left the org, i was quiet for a while....as you are, trying to get used to not being a jw robot, and trying to show the rest of the congregation and former friends and family, ..(like it matters),..that you are still nice, polite, spiritual......... not engaging in criminal acts, not smoking or taking drugs and not becoming the local slut falling out of pubs and clubs at the weekend in an alcohol induced stupor.
then i changed my mind!
not that i started engaging in all of the above....but that i stopped being quiet.

What's The Worst Thing You Know Of That A JW Did?
by minimus inwitnesses are supposed to be "exemplary" and not like the "world".
yet some jws are pretty notorious.. did you know of any jws that did some real bad things?.
i knew a pious witness who got caught twice trying to solicit prostitutes.

when I was a young lad an elder (the grand father of one my friends) of an other congregation raped a sister and molested a few kids including one of his grand sons. The elder ended up hanging himself in jail.

Are you a victim of WT manipulation?
by moshe ini read about it all the time here, i'm staying inside for my jw friends and family, i'll keep my mouth shut, i keep dropping hints trying to convince them they are wrong about the wt.
their are two sides to manipulation-ie, the manipulator and the victim/enabler.
one can not viably exist without the other.

Good point moshe and also terry. I was asking myself that question this week. I'm not going to meetings any more ( I'm not sure how long maybe 5 years) but I am technically still a JW I never sent the letter. I am now thinking of making it official. I am giving myself excuses not to, I can still help some that are still in, I would make it difficult for my in-laws, etc.. but I know this is all BS if I make it official then my in-laws and friends that are still in will know 100% for sure that I no longer accept the teachings. By not doing so I am giving them false "hope".

Can you be an atheist and believe in logic and maths?
by passwordprotected inatheists are, by definition, naturalistic materialists; i.e.
they believe that only the physical universe exists, only the nature exists therefore there is no supernatural and certainly no god.. can you, therefore, be an atheist but believe in logic and maths?
they're also not made of matter.. is it true to say, then, that the atheist worldview is contradictory?

Does "modern" evolution have a different mechanism to account for life besides random mutation and natural selection? I'm not aware of one. This is usually the main argument from what I've seen.
Actually your question is a little off evolution accounts for species not life itself that's a different field but yes there is more to evolution then random mutation and natural selection.

Yes math does "exist" and also logic and yes they are things like gravity exist but it is not matter it is a phenomenon created by matter. I think what you are not seeing is that you are confusing the word with the thing. Are words matter? no words are sounds used by us to describe matter and phenomenons but words do exits. Logic and math are results of matter like gravity am I making any sense?
