They're ten years old for Christs' sake, it's not like you have a CO or old Pioneer sister spending the night at your house!! I don't get what the conflict is, once again mentioning that they're just 10 years old and enjoying each others company, geeez, some of us EX Dubs sound like we're still in and have no backbone !

How do you feel about street people asking you for money
by I quit! inabout half of the freeway exits i get off at have someone there begging.
in the past i felt they were only hitting me up for money to by drugs or booze so i rarely handed them any.
in this economy i'm wondering if some of them aren't really in need of something to eat.

Now for the New York City point of view, home of the subway, a beggars dream: since I ride the same train everyday to get into the city (Manhattan, I live in Queens, part of NYC also, but that's whatya callit when ya don't live in manhattan) for the past 20 plus years I'm quite familiar with the beggars that pick out their favorite subway route to beg on, so many stories don't know where to start! But will mention I remember seeing one of the old time beggars on the street not to far from where I live walking down the street, he just happened to be counting his money in a drunken stupor . . . . took out A WAD OF BILLS !! could of been ones, could've been twenty's but I mean a friggin' wad of bills he took out of his pocket, then they're was the couple about five or more years ago who claimed they were trying to bury their dead daughter, even had a death certificate they waved to the crowd . . . funny, always saw them for 2 or three years but always during the winter, hmmm, hope thegirl got a decent burial. Like I said in NYC city I could go on and on and on,

by Magwitch inmy 76 year old mother and her 94 year old mother (my grandmother) are still regular pioneering.
if anyone should understand helping the less fortunate it should be these life time pioneers.
however, this is a conversation i had with my them yesterday.... me: mom, the girls (my 2 teenage daughters) and i have volunteered to serve breakfast and lunch at the soup kitchen new year's eve.

Just say that you and the girls believe in showing love to all men, as quoted in the Bible, then quote her the scriptures that prove so ( I myself don't know where they're located in the BIble, but perhaps you do)
Then say something to effect that you notice that all other houses of the Lord have soup kitchens to provide for those that don't have, which is showing Christian love toward all men, then ask her how come the Dubs don't do this since they proclaim to bethe only TRUE religion . . . . ought to keep her quiet for a while !!

"they came through this stop sign and, from eyewitness accounts, they never slowed down," said neighbor byron copeland.. copeland said the residents of the property raced to try and help.

Yes Mary, I hear you totally, but once again going by my experience within the Dubs (and perhaps others feel the same as me) all of ushere on this site have family as well . . . and as I said just think what they would say about us ( left Jah, probably drugs drink etc.) KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THOSE WHO HAVE SEEN THE REAL TRUTH HAVE FAMILY AS WELL !! If you want to know just ONE REASON why I feel this way, as the scripture goes (loosely) "you are known by your works", so when my JW mom died, giving 40 plus yrs of sevice to the same cong, I can count on ONE HAND the number of Dubs who reached out, matter of fact, the one person she wanted to speak at her memorial, which she always said from YEARS before she was ill was someone she considered her son, so I called dear sonny boy and he said he was busy . . . . . . .
Also, I have an aunt that I have absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH, so of course she mentioned to her friends that her sister had passed and that I am her only sibling, I got calls from my aunts friends whom if my life depended on it I could not identily them because I've never met them offering their condolences . . . . . how many Jdubs to you think I heard from . . . . . as it is menioned in the bible YOU ARE KNOWN BY YOUR WORKS ( a loose translation, but you know what i mean)

Ya know what, . . . I just gotta be honest here, if the tables were turned and me (as in all us Xjdubs) were in an accident an it made the papers and news . . . .since we're all XXX jdubs, you can just imagine what they would say about us, drunk, drugs, left Jah, Etc. etc.,
From my heart I feel know sorrow for people who openly follow a cult and know it,, just my two cents . . .

.absolutely a f"__'in classic piece of live music !!
i'm in nyc, so i'm referring to his free radio show which used to air on krock before he signed with sirius.. and we can't forget"fame" although written by john lennon, bowie did the recording (with luther vandross doing backup) .

And we can't forget"Fame" although written by John Lennon, Bowie did the recording (with Luther Vandross doing backup) . . . which me reminds me of an interesting Lennon story, about 25 or more years ago, when I was still lving at home our neighbors son died, my mom went by to offer her condolences( what ?? a Jdub stepping foot in a worldly persons home !?!?!, but I digress) ANYWAY the woman showed my mother an album her son recorded, he was a gospel artist, that was personally autographed by John and Yoko saying they both admired his music . . .
