  Since leaving the truth, do you celebrate holidays, and does your participation in such bring you happiness?

  i ask this respectfully, and do so after watching a favorite show of mine's season opener which had a new years storyline.

  hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.

  while i'm thankful to have never participated in such holidays, i can't deny my curiosity about ex-jws that do celebrate.

  Brinja - I was bullied to in elementary school and this "go back and forth" between SPW and some of the folks here is NOTHING compared to someone standing in your face and bullying you, I don't get how you compare this to bullying, but then this is a forum open to everyone worldwide and to me this is in no way bullying, people are getting so carried away with that word now. You obviously are much younger than me, I'm in the 50 plus crowd where kids were told back in our school days to go to school and face the kid that's doing that to you, sounds like you're of the younger generation

  i was just thinking it will be interesting to see how the wts emergency relief fund will operate in the philippines.

  ok it worked well with the storm in florida, with cashing in on the insurance cheques.

  sorry to generalize, but americans have the disposable income, and the insurance polices for things like this - a thing the wtbts finds very attractive.

  So basically what you're saying is the JWs help there own and don't give a damn about the others, unless they're doing the preaching work and are trying to get their time in by placing the literature with the "worldly folks" then you care about the others because that's you get those hours in every week !!

  Doesn't that sound kinda suspect, not to mark the donations for how you want it to be used, the society would use the funds in most appropriate way. I'm quite sure they did use the donation in "the most approriate way" just wonder if those who suffered from the Tsumani even saw 10 percent of it.

  Was - I done tol' ya, he took about 5,00 volts to the brain after he took one of those pill cocktails that he has access to since he works at the pharmaceutical company which he's mentioned several times. I guess one of those cocktails didn't sit right on the brain and they probably found him foaming at the mouth and called EMS and they figured the only way to straighten him out was with the old fashion electrodes on the brain thing !
