THe latest theory I just read is that they're wondering why there were no cell phone calls placed from the passengers (like their was on 9/11), perhaps the pilot just headed straight for the ocean or something. I have to say though, when I read the names of the pilots, similar to those involved in 9/11, I have a feeling that it was intentional, but at this point no one will ever know.

Can't speak for a tourist trap like Times Square, but the usual places I see them with the kiosks during the weekday are empty on the weekends.

Over 7yrs as a JW and I just found out I'm not supposed to buy Girl Scout Cookies?
by Maat13 ini'm still in the matrix(the truth), but 'morpheus' and his team are valiantly working on a way to get me out.
in the meantime, everyday i am discovering so much about being a jw i never knew, like don't buy girl scout cookies, that i keep asking myself "what have i got myself into".. maat.
really lame for a first post, but i figure i should start some where.

My mother always bought girl scout cookies from her coworker for her daughter and from a neighborhhood girl, this was in the 60's and 70's, so when did the "noo lite" about GS cookies start taking effect?

Hey Flip - My aunt will be 101 this year and she just got 24/7 care when she was 99, a neighbor stopped by and found her disoriented and that got the ball rolling. Seems to me as if the funds are there for care from what you've posted.. At this point I'm sure your dad could probably use some help with housecleaning, food, etc. Sounds like somebody needs to be appointed over your moms care. I don't know the law, but if your siblings are dragging their feet and you're the only showing interest it appears as if you're the best bet.

It must have been a brother!
by hoser ini was listening to a conversation of jws recently about how trusting they are with each other and how out in "the world" you have to be ever so careful that you don't put down your purse or wallet for a minute otherwise it will be stolen.. i entered the conversation with an experience that one of my close friends had.
(true story) he was in a public place with a wallet with significant amount of cash and bank card, credit card, id, etc.. somehow he lost or misplaced the wallet, panicked of course.
he went to the police, cancelled all his cards and thought it was gone for sure.

I wish I was in the room when they said it must have been a brother that returned the money.
I would've told them it was also a brother who was at the time at Bethel that made the newspapers here in NYC in the 90's that had an outside gig at some job and was caught stealing from his employers.
My mother refused to believe that until she asked the Cong. Elder who was living in the Bethel at that time also and he confirmed it for her.
