BluesBrother - Remember around the mid 80's i think it was the Borg came out and said that we should get rid of any "demonic" music we have in our homes? I remember a sister who was close to my mom bragging about how after her teenage son read that he immediately went to his collections and threw out some of his music, guess he regrets that now since he's no longer in da troof!

Is is right to leave your job for the WT? In an assembly interview
by skin inwe had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the co because she left her job to do more wt work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down.
most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job.
anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldnt find enough work to support his family here.

Commenting At The Meetings---Did You Enjoy It?
by minimus inwas that important for you?
most people, i believe, forced themselves to give an answer.
i knew many elders and servants over the years being counseled because they rarely answered.. funny thing....my mom who is 88 cries if she doesn't give a comment.

OneEyedJoe - Started to say how that's amazing that they didn't boot his ass from being an elder or being a brother, but I remember a bro in our hall that no matter when he gave a talk or made a comment if there was any way to work any mention of sex, he always did it !! Everyone was aware of how unappropriate he is, but they finally found away to remove him from being elder like 50 years after of his unappropriate comments and talks.

Watchtower Approved Blood Transfusions
by Lee Elder inwe have just published a new article at ajwrb entitled:.
watchtower approved blood transfusions.

That article is precise regarding what Dubs can take regarding blood. However I can't help but run this scenario thru my mind if I were a Dub, If I'm in the hospital and I'm having surgery or some procedure that requires blood, if the Dr asked me if I'm willing to take blood and I say no because I'm a JW and I hand him this article I think he would laugh in my face, blood is blood no matter how you break it down.
That's like me eating peanut butter I totally can't stand it, but if I went to your house and you offered me some kind of cake where peanut butter is in the mixture, but you can' tell because of the chocolate or other ingredients, if I eat a piece of that cake. Yet I say "I can't stand peanut butter, if that was the last food on earth I still wouldn't eat it" the person would have to say "well, you just had some cake and one of the ingredients is peanut butter", I would just have to stand their red faced and wouldn't know what to say, which by the way is many Dubs do when question them on the breakdown of blood and SO many other of their flip flop prophecies.

WW1. WW2, Korean War, VIetnam War JFK Assasination, MLK Assasination, RFK Assasination, earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis. Columbine school tragedy, Sept. 11 attack, Pearl Harbor attack.
Mention all these things to your dad and as him if the Dubs mentioned those occurences as being a sign of the times, he'll be a little hesitant to answer because the answer is YES.
Interesting that he mentions that no man knows the day nor hour yet the Dubs have been predicting doom and gloom ever since that drunken CW Russell came out of one of his drunken stupors and created the JWs.
