Does anyone else here remember the picture from one of the old publications of the Christmas tree in the Bethel Cafeteria with everyone gathered around?
Seems like at one time there was some new light that made it okay for the Dubs to celebrate
this was inspired by terry's thread.... it is something that raises many questions about the jw belief system.. .
for one thing - the bible certainly explains all the details of the christ birth.
it certainly does not tell people to avoid celebrating it with feasts, customs, etc.

i have been juicing off and on for a couple of years ever since i saw a the documentary, sick, fat, and nearly dead, and my health has taken a remarkable upswing.
no doubt in my mind that drinking live celled water rich green veggie juice is one of the best things you can do for your health and longevity.
time is sometimes a thing, and don't always have the time and patience to juice the veggies and clean up the juicer parts.
I have a Vitamix and I love it, no pulp from a regular juicer like the Breville which I used to use.
I mix wheatgrass, parsley, ginger with some cranberry juice, a little lemon or lime squeezed in
this was a service at a southern baptist church for the father of a teacher at my son's school.
we had developed a friendship with her over the past few years, and i had met her father, knew about his terminal illness, and i wanted to pay my respects.. i have to tell you, it was a better show than the average jw "ceremony".first, lots of personal tributes about the man they were memorializing.
uplifting stories, funny stories, serious stories, describing a real life individual that many in that room knew and were going to dearly miss.. lots of singing!
Thanks Ag

You say the hours flew like SST, what does that stand for?
a big decision no one wants to make, but would you have a preference?.
and, i guess it may depend on what kind of relationship you have with your family.. .
"it was a show on HCPOA"
Well, I guess I'm in the minority here of not knowing what that stands for.
But if I were to guess, does the POA stand for Power of Attorney?
If not, hey, I have it a shot, right?
Odrade that's funny, everything is capped except "i' which should be !
I remember my mother saying she was going to get a computer a few years before she passed, which she never did. I don't know if they were using them for Dub stuff back then but I know someone in the Cong put that idea in her head, she never would've thougt of buying one unless they told her something she could do or look up on the computer. I told her don't ask me to show you how to use it, it would be like teaching Edith Bunker.
Can somebody explain what the above poem (or whatever it is) is about please
i wasn't looking where i put my feet, and i almost took the cart out!
anyway, i stopped and chatted with the people for a bit.
three women and a man -- an elder and his wife.
Diana - When you mentioned that you wished they had the carts when you were a kid, I'm sure their brains went ding, ding, ding, didn't they ask you if you're still a witness, and if not why don't you attend the meetings now?
Sis Hortensia - Did you at least get to offer your presentation to someone today, did you leave some magazines with someone?
You know Sister, we are a busy people, there are plenty of opportunities to bring interest to others about Jah and his Mighty Spirit, and you can count the time too!!
Amen to that! There are so many typos on this board as well as others, but when has it become acceptable to spell definitely with an a?
Also the word baptize is usually spelled here "babtize" and the word masturbation is usually spelled here "masterbation".
My favorite one from this board is that someone kept spelling the word daughter as dawter.
