This flip-flopping speculation is my favorite:
Women may be turned into men - Golden Age 1930
I'm interested to see when the old guys in Brooklyn bring this one back, I wonder how many would just follow along blindly like they always do on that one?
i was having a discussion with my sister yesterday, and she said to me,'mom told me that if dad dies at armageddon, she cant get remarried in the new system' .
i told he i have never heard such a thing, but i do recall that it was believed that anyone who dies now, cannot be married in the 'new world' because they are to be as angels in heaven.. she said , so why be resurrected if yiu cant live your dream of having a loving mate and perfect children?
god is still dictating to you how you will live.

ok, i just signed up for hbo now and after binge watching entourage and game of thrones, i clicked on going clear, which is an expose of l. ron hubbard and scientology.
i was mortified at the similarities of that cult and the witnesses.
it's crazy!
heard/saw this 30-second commercial last year - they just started it up again this growing season.. pink songbook memories, anyone?.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocuojb1ripq.
Doesn't sound familiar to me
so what have you got?.
i'll start.. 1958 aboard steamship arosa star, english and german jw's bound for new york for 8 day assembly at yankee stadium.. .
Magwitch - Is your cousin the sorrowful little boy at the bottom of the pic?
Is he a JW now or what is/was his status in the Borg? Cute pic though!
i left in the 90's and marriage partners were similar in age at my former congregation.
i ran into a former jw friend from my childhood.
i haven't seen him in 15 years.
I've noticed there are professional widows in JW Land also. When they find out about a widower in the Hall that has just located their or something they make there move. The one case in particular I know about (although there are many) is that this Brother called his family and said that there's a sister in the Hall that keeps hanging on to him trying to get his attention and it was really bothering him. About 3 or 4 months later he calls his grown kids and sister and says he's getting married.
When he died, and it wasn't a mysterious death it was a legit health problem, the wife didn't even attend the memorial at the Hall, made sure he had all his paperwork in order, which means she got the property and house he had instead of his adult children and they haven't heard from this faithful servant of Jah since their father's death.
joined the site, not that i have much to share.. i'm married to a jw (wife).
i never have been or will be a jw, i honestly hate the wt (not the jws).
being married to a jw, can sometimes make you crazy, i never believed any of the bs.
Interesting that you say she's always been a JW, yet she married a "worldly man". That's frowned upon in JWLand.
Is she a 100 per cent totally observant JW or, there's a few things she doesn't agree with or doesn't feel the need to attend all the meetings are go in field service,
Just wondering if she is totally into it how she allowed herself to marry a man that's an outsider.
"hey brother wasa, come on back to the meetings.
" (after 10 years) so i respond that the situation with pedophiles is out of hand.
they tell me "we" elders have received tons of training on the subject, its not like it was 10 years ago.

I remember quite a while ago a sister in her mid 20's married a brother who was in his late 50's, but the sick part of the story is the brother is her best friends father. Their friendship didn't suffer at all and they had a baby around the same time as each other, to me that's kinda sick. This brother was no Denzel Washington so to speak, he looked every day his age and then some, he looked more like Al Roker before he lost the weight, including the cow licked bald head Al had back then.
i had always thought the powers that be knew i was a jw and so never called me up for jury service.. today however, i received a summons for jury service.. what is the jw's position on jury service?, what will happen to me when i refuse to swear an oath?.
I think the Dubs that use the religion as an excuse to not serve is because they just don't want to be bothered, like most folks that get called, they're just using the religion as a bona fide reason to be excused and it's not.
I know of several Dubs who have served.
this is a sensitive topic for many of us i know, but i am wondering how many here actually gave up the idea of having a family "in this system" for the sake of "kingdom activity or service"??.
start the count here with my wife and i.
Really surprised that people my age(in their 50's) and younger bought into the don't bring kids into the world thing. Really thought that was something that was adhered to in the 30's and 40's then forgotten about. Like I posted earlier I grew up in da troof and to me we were always attending bridal showers, and of course after that comes the onslaught of baby showers. That's why I'm not interesting in going to either as an adult, been to so many of them while growing up.
