  I think just about everyone can name a few brothers and sisters in their Congregation that folks used to whisper about for appearing to be gay. I can remember quite a few from just my one Cong and I've mentioned several times before here that I use the name ShirleyW to show the hypocrisy about how da troof handles that, The name I use and her "partner" started attending my KH when I was around 9 or 10, I'm now pushing 60 and they're still faithful servants of Jah.

  Way after I stopped attending, but in mother's Cong they had a RuPaul lookalike studying and attending the meetings

  I don't know how long the person who was studying explained to him that he had to make up his mind if he was a girl or a boy. But I don't think he even lasted a year.

  We had an elder that was in the Cong that know matter what the subject of his talk he would always find a way to bring up something sexual, this went on for DECADES, they finally put him on reproof in the 90's because he said something to a sister and she reported him to the other elders. He was in the Cong ever since I was a kid in the 60's and it took them thirty years to finally do something.

  Will Bro. Rogers be DF'd posthumously for drug addiction?

  some have been df'd for suspicion of smoking cigarettes, yet bro.

  rogers death is because of an addiction, fentanyl is what they are saying is the drug that did him in which was reported on the news as being more potent than heroine.

  why is it that some nosy sister can report you because someone who looked like you was in the parking lot the same time as she was, yet bro.

  Why is it that some nosy sister can report you because someone who looked like you was in the parking lot the same time as she was, yet Bro. Rogers had an addiction for Jehovah only knows how long. Oh, that's right, Bro. Rogers employment made it easy for him to write a larger check than those caught in a parking lot enjoying a cig.

  Clapping at the meetings and assembly

  i had a random thought this morning about clapping.

  growing up in the wt culture i learned the proper protocol for clapping.

  before the assembly speaker gave his talk, but not after.

  Yeah, like the people that sit in front of the MTV Awards or the other music shows and they're clapping their hands above their heads, like it just happened to be that all the people that want to do clap their hands over their heads just happen to be sitting in the first ten rows when a music group starts playing.

  But the Dubs spread out the clappers all through the Stadiums

  BTW I see I have an ongoing argument on this thread with a former most severe mental patient that used to post here.

  there have been very informative threads on presentations and audience reactions ("thrilled", "emotional") at this summer's regional conventions (formerly district conventions) but little on actual attendance numbers and numbers baptized.

  sorry the site was offline for a short while - i kicked off a re-index of the site to pick up the http -> https changeover and, well, i didn't put any rate limits in place so google went full bore at it.

  having the site hosted in google's data centre probably helps it go faster than normal.. in other news, i now know the site can scale to handle an insane number of requests if it ever needs to (as long as i put some more coins in the meter)..

  Was this around 11am EST, I have the site saved on my Chrome taskbar and when I clicked this morning I got can't asses or whatever it said. But was able to get on in about five minutes.

  RC Was Worse Than I thought...

  i was visiting with my family and it seems the rc was worse than i thought.

  now they all seem to think that "we are so close to the end" and that the "brothers are really preparing us for the gt".

  some even saying that soon our message will change to a judgement message for mankind and talking about how we need to improve "everything we do".

  It's just so amazing how some folks have been in da troof for decades and every year it's the same old thing.

  The year before my mother got sick and passed she said "we're on the fringe of Armageddon now" and that was 2005, wish I could ask her what are we on now in 2016.

  Don't they know the fable about the boy that cried wolf? They're doing the same thing and somehow don't see it that way, phonier than Fred Sanford and all his fake heart attacks !

  this sweet older sister needed help and while trying to download the clm on her tablet, the history showed some porn pictures.

  how does someone overlook that and carry on?.

  I agree with Simon, I think she's using someone else's tablet in her home and doesn't know how to use it properly which is why she needed the help.
