Soooooo, Twat doesn't have the same meaning in Scotland as it does in America since a Church includes the word in its name?

I respectfully enjoy the comments of those here who are all "gung ho parenting", but, I'm sure they will even have to admit that it's not easy sailing, like I said in my first post, one of the most truest sayings of all time is "wait till you have children of your own". I don't have kids of my own (never wanted any and have no regrets), but have observed that to be true in my fifty plus year of life, the parenthood job just ain't that easy.
I have quite a few friends who have visited me at my home and the first they say is "wow, it's so quiet here". One couple who visit me frequently who have three grown children, walk in sit down and take a nap, no joke, they notice how quiet it is and just sit down and fall asleep for a quick nap every time they visit, notice I said there kids are grown, so they're in grandparent mode, but still enjoy a quiet home front and no, I'm not offended when they fall asleep and take a nap, I understand.
Another friend who is a divorced mom of two kids has said about my apt, "this is what I need, a place just for weekends to get some rest", sound familiar parents out there?

JW Ideal candidates for Life Insurance?
by MNLifeAgent ini am not a jehovah's witness, although i do respect your religion entirely.
i am 27 years old, and live in minnesota.
i have an older cousin, who's mother (not with my uncle -separated when my cousin was a baby) had been a witness, grew up in your word, and about 12 years ago she fully converted.

Just wondering, how did you arrive at the conclusion that JWs aren't heavy drinkers?

Anybody remember when Dear Abby posed that question back in the 70's I think, and the majority of folks said they shouldn't have had kids.
I think there's a lot more people that are out there that won't admit that they wish they had waited or didn't have kids at all. As the saying goes "wait till you have kids of your own" that's probably the number one truest statement ever said . . .that's why I don't have any! I've observed my whole life how parents raised kids, never appealed to me.

Scientology special on A&E tonight with Leah Remini
by nonjwspouse ini'm not sure where it is airing elsewhere, but on the a&e channel, at 7p then again at 10p est tonight, leah remini is doing a scientology special.
it looks to be a great show.
i am not sure if it is one time, or the beginnings of a series.

I agree with FLipper, like I said in an earlier post here I wonder why the JWs don't have someone like a Leah Remini type to stand up bring out the what's really going on behind closed doors. Like you said It won't be Serena Williams or George Besnon, because they just call themselves a Dub and probably haven't knocked on a door and turned in a time slip in decades.

OK I have had it with our Creator, "A booze gene".
by James Mixon inscientists have discovered a booze gene.
so can one be df for drunkenness if they have a booze gene???
?.

There wouldn't be too many elders left if they started to DF for too much drinking, there wouldn't be too much of any of the Dubs if they started DFing for drinking, that's how some of them get through the meetings and the rest of them are not drugs, legal and illegal.

Growing up in NYC, every time you hear of Wallkill on the news is when they're talking about the prison there, wonder how many miles apart is the prison from the new Bethel?

Cart Cycling
by ShirleyW inafter reading funchback's post about "having a cart attack" it reminded of some pictures i saw this weekend on a friends fb page, his mother is still in da troof.
her pictures are from africa and europe and she's posted many pics of the brothers riding a bike with the whole cart display on their backs !!
i guess the dubs here in the u.s. don't know how easy they have it!.

Kinda reminds me of when they used to tell us of how easy we had it here to attend the meetings when some brothers and sisters had to cross thru alligator infested waters and walk miles just to attend the meetings. I guess they could now point out how in the other countries they ride bikes with the full cart on their backs filled with all the literature.
For those here who are in Europe and Africa, are you among those who are breaking their backs for Jehovah, in the literal sense?
