Just thought of the fact that probably the first demonstration at an assembly about homosexuality was about female homosexuals, does that mean they're accepting of male homosexuals? They could've mentioned something about an LGBT march going on and had the same conversation, but they singled out female homosexuals.
We all know that there are many male and female gay folks that are baptized JWs so why just focus on the female gays.?

I have some extra lines for Hannah to say in this little demo at the Assembly,
Hannah later on in the day has some time to herself to think over that little conversation, then says to herself " Hmm, I wonder if I was a little harsh in that convo with Emily, because SIster S and SIster C have been in the Cong ever since my parents were kids and they're still attending, but everyone knows that they've been roommates for more than 40 years and some of the brothers and sisters do talk about them being in a relationship, Oh well, Jah will clean out his Organization in due time and they will be taken care of, but I still believe in what I said to Emily".

we have purchased a bunch of great books recently, and one of them is from author kyria abrahams called "i'm perfect, you're doomed".
i'm only 5 chapters in at this stage, but i just have to share that this is a great read!.
I have her book, we've had the conversation here before about Kyria and her book a while back. She's pretty accurate about the JW stuff she went through, but it was pointed out by a few folks here when discussed before that some of the situations she went through she brought them on herself. But all in all I could relate to being brought up in such a wacky cult.
i remember once in berlin south germany there was a local needs part for the men only, and how they should use the toilet.
in all seriousness for ten minutes a retarded nigerian was going on about how men need to sit down when using the toilet.
no mention of anything else.. it transpired that some little kraut boy from an "interested" family would aim for the side of the toilet and leave a great big puddle for others to clean up.
Well, the whole talk wasn't about this, but I remember a brother adding to his talk that sisters shouldn't wear red shoes, I think this was after David Bowie's "Let's Dance" came out ("put on your red shoes and dance the blues")
Also I remember a CO dropping into one of his talks that brothers shouldn't watch football . . . well, ya' just know all the brothers immediately stopped watching football after they heard that don't you! i can't even remember what got me interested in pans, probably wanting to try cooking more and watching some cooking videos on youtube, but i kind of started wanting to get a cast-iron skillet specifically so started reading up on them.
hey, if you're going to spend $50 on something you need to study them and create a comparison spreadsheet ... right?.
not only did cast-iron look great for cooking but there are some studies that show risks to aluminium / teflon cookware ... not that the wts was "right" about aluminium, but teflon can give off carcinogenic chemicals if overheated (so what if it chips off into your food?).
So one of the chefs here can answer this for me, although I prefer to stick with my non-stick skillets
I notice in the non stick if it gets to hot while frying an egg and I do use oil, I just hold it up away from the heat and it will loosen up, now with cast iron, no matter how hot the pan gets nothing will stick to even a well seasoned cast iron pan? I can seer a steak and it won't stick ? I've been so tempted since they seem to be coming back now, but I don't know
