As an ex jw I can peg them by their dress but the general public would have trouble playing spot the witness or "where's wally witness" in a crowd of shoppers.

It appears that way at some of the carts I see in the subway stations here in NYC, they set them up, then go find a bench to sit down and gossip away the rest of the afternoon, so easy to count time now, they should bring the 100 hours a month, just set up the cart, sit down and verbally tear apart the others in the Congregation and get your time in at the same time!

what Flipper said, except for Kinison,he was funny, but not in Rickles territory - in my opinion of course.
Someone above mentions he has as much energy as Robin WIlliams, energy yes, but you can't say the two of them are alike in any way, Rickles was a natural, Williams was just acting that way to so folks would pay more attention to him, it was his ego, same with Jim Carrey, both of them not funny, and nowhere near Rickles, a natural, funny comedic legend.

Mormon Baptizing the dead??
by James Mixon inwhy the big controversy over baptizing the dead, they are dead folks..i know it's a quirky practice but jewish leaders are up in arms because the lds leaders are baptizing holocaust victims..what harm is it??
?hell jw's are preaching everyone will go up in flames no one believe that crap except jw but no one is up in arms, they know they walk a different step....the lds leaders agreed to halt baptisms specifically of jews holocaust victims in 2010 but they are at it again, baptizing jews.
this is funny as hell to me.

I'd like to know just what the procedure is to baptize dead folks. I'm sure they don't dig them up and dunk 'em, do they?

I hear you Sylvia, from your post I guess we're around the same shade, there will never be a color palate in the world that can represent all the different shades of African-Americans.
Even Oprah made a documentary of "the race within the race", some of us need to get over this "color" thing.
The old school thinking of black men marrying the lighter skinned women some how still holds true, ask some teenage guys what kind of black women they're attracted to and the answer would be the same as it was in 1937 and before that.
I have to honestly say that the Black Power civil rights movement did help, but then some black men have the same thinking like I"ve quoted above

NYTimes Article - Russia Moves to Ban Jehovah's Witnesses as 'Extremist'
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/04/world/europe/russia-moves-to-ban-jehovahs-witnesses-as-extremist.html?_r=0.
vorokhobino, russia — a dedicated pacifist who has never even held a gun, andrei sivak discovered that his government considered him a dangerous extremist when he tried to change some money and the teller “suddenly looked up at me with a face full of fear.”.
his name had popped up on the exchangalee bureau’s computer system, along with those of members of al qaeda, the islamic state and other militant groups responsible for shocking acts of violence.. the only group the 43-year-old father of three has ever belonged to, however, is jehovah’s witnesses, a christian denomination committed to the belief that the bible must be taken literally, particularly its injunction “thou shalt not kill.”.

Two things:
Hecce when you were a JW (or maybe you still are) I see from your post right above mine that you didn't buy the JWs don't care about black and white, we're all one serving Jah.
and your posts remind me of someone who used to post here that used the picture of Jack Benny in his avatar, he used to post racist things about African-Americans.

When I was a kid,the we only had one anointed brother in our hall. He and his wife left da troof about thirty or more years ago. They don't live to far from me, he said he finally realized that all their predictions and dates just don't add up.

There never was a scriptural basis for it. SV:
I remember sitting in Yankee Stadium or that staidum in Jersey City when it was first announced, and of course every, newfangled light they come up with they always quote a scripture, I'm sure a few scriptures were read when they first introduced the rotation at the assembly.
I remember my mother and a few others saying" oh, what a great arrangement, so that one brother can't get too haughty as to his being an elder for all his life" HA !! make me want to vomit just thing of that, and oh, by the way. . just what happened to that "loving arrangement"?
