  Has Being a JW affected your SEX Life?

  I always wondered about JWs who truly believed in the lie, were they really just a Saturday night only couple, or like wild animals with the JW forbidden anal and oral included. I remember a br gave a talk about that (how fitting on a Sunday afternoon with children of all ages sitting there listening, do other religions do that?) saying that sex is basically just a once a week Saturday thing for most folks anyway. How about the two virgin JWs wedding night, do they offer a prayer to Jah before knocking the boots which I remember a Bro. saying in the Watchtower that was about sex, once again how fitting for a WT study with children of all ages in the audience.

  Just as an aside, in the early 70's when I was in Junior High School, the first time I ever heard of oral sex was, at the KH during the WT study. So, thanks Jehovah.

  Good standing like Michael Jackson's mother? The pioneer that had a birthday party thrown for her at a big Las Vegas hotel by her children? BIggy's money of course is no where near Jackson's, but that good standing takes on a different meaning for some members of the Borg.

  i've come across a jw friendly article about watchtower predicting smartphones in the 20s.. .

  of course, in the comments section there are a lot of jws freaking out saying "there is no doubt that this is the only true organization!

  ", "thanks jehovah that used his faithful and discreet slave to tell us some useful information about the future!

  i ask this question for the following reason.

  i was sitting at the kingdom hall thinking about all the rules, procedures, policies, teachings that each member must follow ......or else!.

  at the watchtower study we are reminded of the paradise earth where we will all be the same and happy.

  When Will Jehovah`s Witnesses Appoint A Woman As A Governing Body Member.? It`s Long Overdue !

  jehovah himself gives the saying "the women telling the good news are a large army" psalms 68 : 11 coupled with the fact that a good portion of women partake of the emblems and wine at the annual memorial celebration.. identifying themselves as part of the 144000 that are taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens.. isn`t it about time they were recognized for their contributions and given the fact that gods word the bible clearly states that 144,000 of anointed are to be taken from the earth which many women are a large part of.?.

  revelation ch.14 :4 could be argued that they are not lesbians { "these are the ones who do not defile themselves with women ,in fact they are virgins, etc,etc.}.

  i wonder just how many men who claim to be of the anointed have not defiled themselves with women and are virgins.?.

  Fade..... or this?

  there are four ways to leave the 'truth'...... alive............you can be disfellowshiped...... then shunned, you can formally disassociate yourself and be shunned........ you can fade.

  the first two words belong to the society, fade on the other hand is defined as 'to gradually grow faint and disappear.

  ' 'walking away' has it's own negative connotation about one's commitments and relationships.. i think some folks feel uncomfortable with these words.

  I guess that's what I did, disengage, since I was a born-in and never baptized, I never really brought into it but when I got around my early twenties my father saw that I really wasn't into it and I didn't have to go to meetings anymore if I didn't want to. So since that was all I knew since birth, I guess I "disengaged" from da troof.

  Sister may have had a slight heart attack, do I text her?

  so my cousin phoned and told me my jw sister was taken to hospital with chest pains and it may have been a slight heart attack or possibly she's starting with angina.

  now as some of you know my sisters and brother have had little to do with me for 29 years.

  we've met at funerals, or arranged them, but i just thought today what if she did die?

  I agree with those who say you should send the text, but sometimes their hearts and minds are sooooooo brainwashed she just might look at it like a Spam email and quickly disregard, which is terrible, plus you say she hasn't been exactly too friendly to you these past few years.

  Just go with your heart which is in the right place and send a quick get well soon message.

  Are JWs capable of a genuine discussion?

  i was just pondering whether jws are capable of having a calm, in depth discussion about religious or faith topics?.

  i have just finished listening to a great podcast by "dogma debate" (dan) episode 333. this fantastic, in-depth conversation between a theist and an atheist was a masterful example of how a dignified conversation can take place without it resorting to abruptness or even nastiness.. jws on the other hand seem incapable of having such discussion without ending up in the following ways:.

  1)they get dogmatic and defensive if a differing view is presented.. 2)if the conversation doesn't go their way, they cut it short saying something like "well, we had better agree to disagree" or the like.. so why the arrogance?

  Of course they are, just as long as you agree with them on everything, that's a genuine discussion to them, as long as they make their point and don't agree with others, it's been a good day for them.

  It's all about the numbers and no genuine love at all. "Since her operation, she barely manages 50 hours" WTF?!!!! GO HOME AND REST SISTER!!

  Are they serious? Really?

  Does anyone know what the reason is for counting time? It's not like they're paying you, if they were they were they probably wouldn't care if you didn't get any time in, but what's the point, just because you go out doesn't mean you place any literature, what the real purpose?
