I think the lawyers in Criminal Law or just about as bad if not worse than their clients. If I went outside right now and shot three people and they all died my lawyer would try to come up with some crazy scheme in my defense. Every time I see them on the news I can't believe that they really expect people to buy the drivel that they come up with too protect their client. They should both share the same cell.

I don't know of any WT articles, just know of a few pioneers who were on the State's dole while knocking on the doors, however, I must say and I've mentioned here before on the forum about one sister who was on welfare but wanted to pioneer, I know for a fact the elders told her that if she was able to pioneer then she should at least get some kind of job to support herself and her daughter, her backstory is that every now and then she had a few MAJOR mental health issues, used to leave the Thursday night meeting and walk home (nothing wrong with that) but, used to call another Sis and say if anything ever happened to her she wanted this Sis to raise her daughter. She also had a son but her ex had custody.

NY44M says - "I loved Three's Company. It was entertainment that required absolutely zero thought. It did not challenge your intellect"
You are absolutely correct, that's why even the commercials for that show left me with the thought of, Lord knows I'm no Rhodes Scholar, but I'll be damned if I lower my intellligence to that level to watch that nonsense.

Tiktaalik says we are indeed living in the Golden Age of Television, then goes on to mention shows from the 1980's up til the present, which means I'm definitely old enough to the Tiktaalik's great-great grandmother.
The golden age to TV are the shows still shown on such channels as MeTV and Antenna Channel, such as:
Mr Ed. Burns and Allen, Jack Benny, Batchelor Father, Father Knows Best, You Bet Your Life, I Love Lucy, Mayberry, Hazel, Perry Mason, Donna Reed, The Patty Duke Show, Dennis the Menace, Soupy Sales Show, The Dinah Shore Show, Make Room For Daddy, Car 54 Where Are You, The Phil Silvers Show and so many others that I watch in lieu of the total, new non-funny absolute nonsense that fills the prime time schedule these days.

THey're all over the subway stations here, I've even noticed at one station here that I frequent, they have backup as in another sister and brother who replace the others when their "shift" is over, all for the sake of getting in that Almighty time !!
You mention that it's impossible to catch a cab going uptown in the evening rush hour, hmmm, not true at all, how do you think the folks that got to work from that location in the morning get back home?

For those of you who think Dubs don't smoke, perhaps the majority of them don't, but I know of a few growing up and I'm not talking about teenagers, grown baptized brothers and sisters who got caught, but were never DAd or reprooved for it.
Matter of fact my first job come to find out that one of my coworkers was a sister at a neighboring Cong and smoked like a chimney at the office, since my mother always said "the organization should be kept clean" and I was just a young teen at the time, I told her I wanted to report the sister, I have to say when I mentioned this to her she was quite hesitant, even when we were at the circuit assembly and she found the elders of the sisters cong, and I did tell them about the sister
I have to say thought for all my mothers mouthing off and standing strong for Jah, like I said she seemed to be quite hesitant but really couldn't say anything because that's what she taught me, even when we were standing their and she got the two elders togehter she said to them " and she just insists that she tell you this" . . .well, isn't that what you taught me ?

So twenty year olds are now partaking, interesting.
So is the 144,000 thing kinda pushed to the side now, do they still adhere to that?
