  Faces on TV Broadcasting

  i agree that being photogenic is not given to every ordinary mortal.

  .

  but when at the beginning of every new month i am confronted with the various faces of those males showing off as a priority on tv-jw (see jw broadcating september 2017), i am asking myself if i honestly am faced with normal people, or with people who went mental already since ages ago.. is it maybe due to the fact that the majority of them already do not feel anymore like belonging to ordinary mortals ?

  "Prayer" and answers to it , positive / negative ,or is it all in the mind ?

  speaking from my own experience and that of my family of wife and two now adult sons do not believe that prayers to jehovah /god are answered .. so it must also be true of all other religions and their believers also.. my wife and i were jw`s for 33 years and and i don`t believe anyone prayed harder than my wife and i at various trials we faced during those times in those 33 years.. we may as well have been like the present day jews who pray to a brick wall .

  I think prayer is a joke, let's take two hospital rooms across from each other, the men in both rooms are in serious condition and they have their family around them praying for his health. The man in one of the rooms dies and the man in the other room lives. What happened since both of the families were praying?

  I think the more a person prays the more of a phony Christian they are.

  i was talking to an elder recently about all sorts of things non j.w related.. he said something about a guy in his congregation who is related to my ex wife and molested a little girl.. i said " i don't want to hear anything about that guy after what he did".

  elder"i dont know what he did".

  me" he is a child sex offender".

  so we know that by jw logic, the idea is that everyone who dies is acquitted of their sin and will get a resurrection in the "new world".

  however, those directly destroyed by god, or at his command will not.

  Never knew that before, or the rest of the list above wouldn't not have the hope of resurrection.

  he's sounding more like a dub everyday, sounds like one of their lame excuses.. i don't think the city asked the furniture and the mosque that opened to shelter people, and a pastor, one who supposedly helps people was waiting for the city?

  he's just lying, that's why that response reminds me of the borg.

  i started this thread to find out specifically if kingdom halls, or assembly halls are being used to help victims.

  not just other jws, but innocent victims of all walks: men, women, children & pets.

  THat's what I wanted to know since a few days ago someone posted here how an acquaintance of theirs said they would pack their "go bag" and go the nearest KH after watching that video of doom and destruction. For the Houston area they'e experiencing just about the same thing, so did all of Jah's faithful try to get to a flooded KH for the empty headed elders to give them further direction? . . . smh just thinking about that

  it's being said all over social media that joel osteen hasn't opened his mega church for refuge during the storm, pictures are showing this area is not flooded.

  i made a few comments myself saying that the jws only help their own in time of need but this god fearing man isn't helping anyone.. just what religion is he and his followers, i guess it's one of those non-denomination churches that collect a shitload of bucks to him and wife so he can afford the glamorous life, nothing new of course, i thought he was just a bit different than the others, fooled me..

  So true, so true. Makes want to Google just how long the saying "religion is a snare and racket" has been around. However, I still say the Dubs are the absolute worse at helping folks if they're not a member of the cult, even if they are, many have written here how faithful old timers are in a nursing home and have yet to receive visitors from the KH.
