Yah, I was embarrassed to be associated with Jehovah's witnesses, period. Being a spectacle almost every day in school, because you didnt salute the flag, day the pledge, participate in birthdays or holidays. Constantly being made to stand out, for percieved negative reasons, while not being allowed to make a solid friendship with anyone around you. Constantly being embarrassed, yet getting good at hiding it, and learning how to hide in plain sight, or avoid those situations altogether.
But yah, I'm embarrassed that I was ever a part of Jehovah's witnesses, period.

) than an entire congregation disassociated and started their own congregation after decided that the gb were apostate.. was this an urban myth or is there any evidence of this?.

There was a cong in Brooklyn, I think it was the Spring Creek Cong where most of congregation was disfellowshipped and back in the late 70's or early 80's

Nothing at all, I agree with you, but when walking down the street, should I look at all Mexicans as being illegal? How can you tell which people no matter what country they are from, how do you know which ones are illegal or legal? You don't. I have a favorite spot in Queens that's even been featured by Anthony Bourdain and that other guy, can't think of his name on their food shows that is all about Mexican and Columbian food, I bet a few of them are not here the proper way, but then I'm sure some of them are, you can't tell that just by looking in someone's eyes what their immigration status is. Queens is all about cultural diversity, as I mentioned in an earlier post Queens is the most diverse borough of all the five in NYC

TBH, I don't get your line of reasoning. You seem to be implying that fighting illegal immigration is hopeless

Yeah, it kinda is, this illegal immigrant thing didn't just start with the current POTUS you know, so yeah it kinda is hopeless. I live in Queens, NY which is the most diverse part of all of NYC. There are 65 I believe it is different languages being spoken in my borough. I have a supermarket a few blocks down the block from me that is strictly Halal, no pork products allowed, even in other supermarkets they sell Halal poultry. If someone from the south came up to just about any part of the city they would see women with the faces all covered up walking down the street, Lord knows what they would think. THe problem of illegals will never be 100 per cent nipped in the bud.

Just like the drug problem, how is that after all we've heard over the decades about stronger rules to stop drugs coming in from other countries, has anything really changed? Of course not.
