  Blondie - We had a sister do the same thing in the ministry school !! Her talk was about pronunciation and she kept saying "noun", when the brother graded her he didn't mention anything about it.

  And on this board, although we don't hear how people pronounce words, the spelling sometimes . . .

  my faves are:

  babtize

  masterbation

  definately ( just don't understand when definitely grew an "a" )

  And my all time favorite on this board was "dawter" and he kept spelling it that way all through his post, a grown man.

  one of the last "arms waving like loons" live-acting convention dramas (before videos took over),

  I didn't know they don't have the dramas anymore, so they don't wave their arms like loons on the videos I guess, must've hired an acting coach, the same one that prepped the guy on the deaf video about yanking your crank.

  Do You Think Disfellowshipping Is The Worst Thing About Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  the longer i’m out the more i feel that disfellowshipping is cruel.

  i understand the organization tells parents to not even accept emails or texts from their disfellowshipped children.

  while i was a witness they tried to discourage families from association but there was some leeway if it was considered necessary business to interact.

  The absolute worst thing is how they have messed with peoples physical health regarding the blood issue. Many have died thinking they were pleasing Almighty Jah when, in fact it's just a made up rule by 7 drunken men who resided in Brooklyn. That's the absolute worst thing they have done and are still doing.

  Now the 7 drunken ones now say it's ok to take blood fractions? Where does a blood fraction come from, blood !!

  What we did when attending a dry JW wedding reception.

  many years ago when the wife and i were still active we attended a friends wedding reception at a top class licensed restaurant in the cbd ,we were close friends with the bride and her family .apparently the grooms parents decided it was going to be a dry reception with no alcohol to be served.. as i said we were close friends with the brides parents an elder & " elderette" and they certainly liked a drink or two or three etc.. i asked the bartender for a drink for my wife & myself and was told it was a dry session & no alcohol was to be served as the grooms father was putting the bill.. so i said to the bartender i am quite happy to pay my own way for the drinks regardless ,so i got served while everybody else had to sit through a dry session.. and these were well off people trying to make a statement .. bloody wowsers..

  i bring this up now because i haven't seen any postings about that practice because i got out in 1977. when did wt quit soliciting private homes for accomodations?

  or have they stopped?.

  i hated it, but it was the only way we could afford to go.

  I believe back in the 60's I remember things started off with the Kickoff meeting, and from that point instead of selling the rags we went from door to door asking if people could accommodate some people in their homes.

  I remember we used to have some friends from Philly stay at our house with their 6 kids, bu t we didn't have enough space for all the kids so another sister had some stay at her house.

  In the early 70's we had a brother stay at our house but he came in on a Saturday and was to leave that Sunday, he came to the house Saturday, but he didn't show up that evening, my mother was very worried, when he showed up the next day to get his stuff she told him she was very worried and he should've called, he said he stayed with some friends of his, which means he probably hooked up with some sister.

  No need to apologize, but the show at that time was an all time ratings grabber and everyone knew that on Thursday nights they knew at least one show they had to be home for, that's why you through me off with the Tuesday reference

  Sigfrid - Now show the other factual list about Trump OK? fair is fair and if you say you have no idea what I'm talkin about then I see how blinded you are. Fair is fair YES I do remember Trump paying for Jennifer's hotel bill after her mom and nephew were killed, a few other things on the list I'm sure. But they don't balance out with what this moron has done since he started residing in the WH, please be fair and acknowledge ALL sides, OK, can you do that or you just want to call me Trump hater, which I certainly am, but weight both sides
