  we have been dfed for almost 3.5yrs and have been trying to get back in for 2 yrs and we are getting the runaround.. anyway..... here is the letter my pregnant wife received from her elderess pioneer mother.. .

  dear mary,.

  i am writing to ask you please do not try to talk to me until you are reinstated.

  The reason we want to go back......

  I know the people are wrong but they are people. nothing hurts me more than to see my wife go thru all of this. I would give my life in an instant for her. All I want is for her and my child to be ok.

  It is about worshipping God not pleasing people. So for a lack of a better idea we are going back. Someone give me something better.... a group of people that seek to follow the bible closely.

  No one can do that no one can offer me something better.

  My wife believes 100% that the elders are directed by holly spirit that we are not reinstated because I dont study with her enough, I work too much or I have a bad attitude.

  I guess you can understand why she feels this way, after all she was raised by the woman that wrote that letter

  oh yeah my wife has been horribly ill during her pregnancy and her mother doesnt even call her. she was in the hospital etc.

  My wife was not even trying to call her mother she would occasionally maybe once every 2 weeks call her for 2 mins to ask her a question about pregnancy etc.

  Anyway..... Here is the letter my pregnant wife received from her Elderess Pioneer mother.

  Dear Mary,

  I am writing to ask you PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TALK TO ME UNTIL YOU ARE REINSTATED. If you have important information to give me before you're reinstated,

  like your new address when you move or when the baby is born, please send a letter.

  I love you and will always love you as you will soon find out what a mother's love is like, but my love for Jehovah and desire to obey him is stronger.

  Continue to beg Jehovah for forgiveness and help to return to him, and humbly wait for his mercy. But in the meantime we must keep our relationship the way Jehovah's word outlines.

  I hope the time when we can resume normal relations will be soon

  Pseudo Thanksgiving - Everyone doesn't have to work....Lets cook a turkey!

  how many people or their families, friends etc.

  would have a turkey on or around thanks-giving and say they weren't celebrating they were just having dinner.. my mother and her friends would get a free turkey around tg time and they would cook it on thanks giving because everyone was home from work.. its not celebrating... its just turkey!!!.

  I even know some members of the "Glitterati" that would have a "special day" party for their kids with an unspecific number of candles on a cake.

  Did you lead a double life as a JW? Are you leading a double life still?

  as a jw, alot of us lead double lives.

  i know i did.. in talking about our situations with my sister in law, realized that i now lead a double life as a "fader"!!!

  my husband and i are "out" of the religion (my brother, sister in law and the kids too) but for the sake of family, they think we are still "in" although they know we are not active.

  I hear alot of people saying they might DA themselves eventually..... If I was going to fade I would never DA myself or try to get DFed.

  I am currently DFed and let me tell you no one and I mean NO ONE knows what its like to have your family and friends shun you. For 3.5yrs I've been staring at the walls in "solitary confinement"

  You are better off fading and staying that way if you don't want to be in the "Glitterati"

  where do you start for counciling... my wife believes that we are not reinstated because of my attitude. I believe that the judicial hearing is no different than a court hearing and the elders seek to be guided by holy spirit but that jah does not directly influence them... they make the ultimate decision based on what they see from you and the application of bible principles.

  I would go to a counselor but I dont want to bring reproach on gods name

  My ex is not connected to them... after she got in trouble they told her she is no longer the victim... the critisized her about her clothes and another sister would not allow her to be a brides maid in her wedding because she got reproved... I blame myself for her getting in trouble and the elders told me she is a "casualty" of the situation. When she faded she let them and other people know that the elders and the way they treated her is the reason she left.... I think they blame me because they don't want to blame themselves for her leaving
