Yeah I get homesick sometimes. Usually around March/April when I know England is enjoying its beautiful Springtime, and I still have two months of Winter to go.
On the upside as a now veteran expat, I've managed to root out places where I can get good curry and a lot of my favourite goodies from back home. Except lard. Haven't been able to find a decent slab of lard.
And it's really amazing how quickly North Americans shed their prejudices about English food when confronted with a nice high fat pudding with custard, clotted cream and a glass of sherry.
