Are parents allowed in their teenagers judicial meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ina 16 year old girl was recently disfellowshipped from my congregation.
i was told by some busybodies that she had a ''wordly'' boyfriend and that she committed fornication.now she sits home alone while her parents attend 3 meetings per week.. my questions are:did the elders meet with the parents first to let them know what the offense was?
were her parents told what the judicial meeting would be about and how it works?

I don't know about any new light but when I was DF'd in 1976 I was alone with the elders for my "offense". My zealous mother is the one who turned me in to begin with but she wasn't in the room. She was outside the door and let's just say I wasn't very soft spoken so I'm sure she heard everything. Slimeballs.

I like the knowing that there are others out there that have had some of the same experiences and learning how to heal from the abuses suffered because of the WTBTS.

How did everyone here get so damn smart. The answers I have gotten seem so apparent when I read them. It's all good. I need to learn to be more positive in my approach to life. Eventually, I believe I will recover. I have a lot of life left in me.

With the help of this discussion forum and the internet I can honestly admit to myself that the JWs do not have the truth. So now I know that God is not going to destroy me "really soon" and I am not spiritually dead even though I was DF'd in 1976. Being raised JW from the age of 5 with a zealous mother and un believing father was not easy. But, that's a whole other story.
The hurdle here is, even though the JW armegeddon obviously is not impending....
How long will it take mankind to obliterate ourselfs with WMDs? Is there an out?
Maybe I just can't get past the gloom.
