when i started driving in 1965, gas cost 29 cents a gallon.

when you pulled into the gas station guys would come out and wash the car windows, check the oil, and put air in the tires!

this is in california in the 60s.

Well, wait a minute, I guess you are. When I started driving gas was 45 cents/gal. We used to have to go to the bar to grab money off the bar to go get bread before daddy drank it all. 29 cents. Holy crap, if you go by bread, I'm in the same boat!

One Reason Why I Worship the God of the Bible

while this may be construed as a rebuttal to nvr's thread re: why i post about atheism, that is not my intent.. it is my intent, however, to show how i developed a belief in and love for the god of the bible.. my paternal grandfather, who died before i was born, was a baptist preacher, so you could say i cut my teeth on the bible.

i loved having it read to me, and once i learned how, reading it for myself.

i'm convinced that spirituality runs deep in my blood.. i've always had such a strong sense of right and wrong that injustices make me literally sick.

I was a believer at one time. If you ask me if I believe in God the answer is yes. If you ask me whose God is the right God, I'd say your own God. No one has a monopoly on it.
