Are Jw's trained to be just plain mean spirited?

not long ago, i would have defended them slightly with opinions about those 'under mind control' etc.

but the further i get from jw think, the more i believe that jw's are just plain mean and hateful asses!

two situations that i relate in my life.. 1- an elder i know works in a grocery store.

It's sad. No, it's pathetic. I could just picture a grown man hiding behind a meat-rack in order to avoid you. They really do think that DF'd ones are demons. It amazes me how far the mind control is with the JWs. What did he think you'd do to him? As an elder he should be spiritually strong enough to not be afraid of you. Shouldn't he be trying to save you?

As for sister ignorrequest, give it up, call Stanley Steamer.

First apple pie of the season!

You got apples already? Wow. Yum that looks so good. Every year I look forward to the forsetheyas (sp) and crocus to bloom because that means winter is over. All the rest is gravy.

Now I want me some apple pie, please.

Whats Wrong With the JW doctrines

i just unfortunately came back from the jw convention and ive only heard their side of the story i know that they use mind control tactics but i need to know what is wrong with there doctrines biblically.

i took a king james bible and seemed like what the were saying about the bible was true.

im never going to try going back to that religion again but i need to know that the only thing wrong with their religion isnt the mind control tactics they use.

Welcome to the board. I am not a bible scholar at all but please tell me where in the bible it is written that Jesus returned in 1914. Just trying to help.
