i don't know about everywhere else, but, the hoagies were good here. i kinda liked them. the doughnuts sucked though. why couldn't we have krispy kremes? lol mmmmm now i'm hungry. damn diet.

we should go to blue bayou. if we go on a sunday, you can meet my wife. sunday is her only day off. if you want to come to new orleans, i'd love to have you. it's hard for us to get out of town because of our work schedules. we are going to lafayette in the fall to visit family, maybe we can meet then.

Encountered Witnesses today at Dunkin Donuts, need some advice please
by NotaNess ini am behind in composing my "counter-witness" pamphlets that i have been wanting to design, but i've been compiling info still.
problem is that days like today, when i talked to witnesses in a plaza, i did not have anything to give but my words.
funny, i gave my business card to them(they were spanish), and told them to have someone call on me, so i can do a study with them.

i tried that. the problem, like you said, is the vast amount of information. i've decided to write a book, and send it to people free of charge. trying to finish it and figure out how to pay for it. i may just make a few copies, send it to some folks, let them copy it, send it, and so on. the problem is, every witness will be hit by things differently. i was talking to a friend that said his dad thought of the u.n. affiliation as a good thing. i said, WHAT!?!?!!? for others, this bit of information got them out of the org. it's hard to say what universal thing will hit them. they won't believe anything anyway. cognitive dissodance my friend.

when the conventions were still "catered" we used to drink some crapt soft drinks. i forgot the name, all i remember was it's slogan, the biillion bubble beverage. and the conventions always had the worst food. i can remember the fruit bags. they were always almost rotten. and you could smell them when you entered the assembly hall. yuck.

i hated elders meetings too. i was never an elder, but, my dad was. we would have to stay at the hall late almost every meeting. even on school nights!! they had alot of meetings because the hall was in turmoil, and the loving body of elders could not get along. my dad was one of the more liberal elders and was stepped down because he got tired of the ultra-conservative elders. they actually pulled people into judicial commites for doing the twist at a party.

man, it's crazy, this is another one of those things i thought i was alone on. when i'd get a "meeting reminder" and would literally feel sick to my stomach. it was great when i got a job though. i would purposely try to work meeting nights. my parents were actually cool about missing meetings for work.
