  New info on depression & brain circuitry

  i got this from someone from a list where a lot of them are experimenting with magnetic cranial stim, (on themselves) actually their stuff is low current with specific waveform patterns, sounds like a better way to go.

  What if I don't agree with Jesus?

  let's say that one believes jesus was god's son, and that he was perfect, etc.. well, what about this: what if you don't agree with jesus, or god on many things.. i have never thought about that before.

  How many have you helped 'out?'

  after last week's post regarding how many people you helped become a jw, i thought it would be fun to see how many people you've helped become apostate.. i received a phone call from norway about an hour ago, ( a poster on this board) who tells me that i influenced his decision to leave the jws.

  (thanks, i)we've never met, only been email buddies.

  the written word is powerful, and many do read these forums.. hopefully, i'll be able to speak to his dyed in the wool jdub girlfriend, but for now i'm satan incarnate as far as she's concerned.[8>].

  Like Outlaw I decided to just walk away.
  I have spoken with my younger brother and sister some, but I am careful, because she is still a minor. I told her to keep an open mind and to do her research before she decides whether or to get baptised. My brother is almost 19, so I am freer with what I say to him.

  I wonder if the people that have approved this realizes that the thousands of Witnesses that come to the conventions have been encouraged to NOT patronize local restuarants, etc., but to bring their own food in order to spend more time with the brothers and sisters. They have even shortend lunch breaks over the years in order to 'encourage' the brothers to bring lunch so they don't have to rush in and out to get lunch somewhere else.

  God forbid they run into an apostate while crossing the street to get a hot dog. If I were a local business owner I would have a FIT. I know up here in New England there was a drastic decrease of vendors outside the convention centers when this change occurred.

  What do you know about Unitarian Universalist?

  i have read on their website that then are a noncreed religion, and welcome all sorts of views and that they encourage their members to be active in community and charities, etc,.

  what do you guys know about this church?

  i was thinking about checking one of the churches out around here.

  this post wont resonate so much with antipodean friends but for us in the northern hemisphere yesterday was the shortest day.

  i find a difference in my mood and feelings at this time of year.

  i have a distinct sense of foreboding when the clocks are set back in october.

  spray paint "merry christmas" across the front of my old hall thursday night.

  we were back in ky to visit my grandparents and we had to drive by my old hall while driving to a friend's house.

  everyone's cars were parked neatly in a row outside (about 10 or 13 cars, it was always a small cong.).
