Guilty Fast Food Pleasures
by Swan inokay, what is the one fast food that you just love, but are a little ashamed to admit to?.
a detective character (sue grafton's kinsey milhone) in some mysteries i read has these guilty fast food pleasures.
just about every day she runs for miles on the beach, but then she is invariably ends up ducking into the mcdonald's drive thru with her little vw and scarfing a big mac or quarter pounder.

Unofffical Jehovah's Witness Website Censured
by Kenneson inthis poor fellow got in trouble with the watchtower society over copyright laws and got reprimanded.
instead of standing up for his rights, he just "kisses xxx.
" read his acquiescing response.. http://www.desinger.com/scriptures/conclusion.html

This is what I emailed Bob today:
It?s a shame they WT Society asked you to stop quoting from the NW Translation. Copyright is not really diluted when you put the copyright information after a quotation, so I don?t really understand the issue.
You could always you another translation that is close to the NW Translation. The Watchtower does it from time to time. One good source would be http://www.biblegateway.com. The site allows you to look up scriptures from numerous translations. So when you have a scripture that you want to look up, look it up in the NW Translation, and then you can look that scripture up in any of the bible translations on the site. You can go through and see which one you are comfortable with quoting.
For example, if you wanted to mention PS 83:18 on your site, go to the search box, put in PS 83:18 and select which version you want. Here is what your results would be if you selected Young's Literal Translation:
18And they know that Thou -- (Thy name [is] Jehovah -- by Thyself,) [Art] the Most High over all the earth!
Anyhoo?I just thought I would mention this site?I didn?t know it existed until a friend forwarded the site to me.
Have a great day, and I wish you well on your site.

What's so wrong with phone sex??????????
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inwhat would your response the the question below be?????????????????.
mine is....................................................(see below).
young people ask .

phone sex would be easier on the back.
I don't think there is anything wrong with as long as you are not in a commited relationship, or having phone sex with the person you are in a commit relationship with. If you are single and playing the field...have fun...and please make sure you put plastic down on the chair first and disinfect the phone afterward.
I am one of those prudes that think phone sex with with someone that is not your spouse or committed partner is practically adultry, and that goes for cyber sex too.
Does that make me a prude?

UK Charity Commission - new rules
by IT Support ini was browsing the uk charity commission website and came across an
interesting document
all charities must also be for the benefit of the community or an appreciably important section of the community .
-

Wow....that is beautiful! I really don't think ANY religion should have charitable status if they cannot offer something that really benefits the community without asking for any spiritual commitment in return.
Okay you UK peeps....tell me, what does the JW over in the UK do so they fall within the charitable rules? I am curious!

Obesity vs. Smoking - which is worse?
by Why Georgia in.
when i was going to the kingdumb hall people were being actively disfellowshipped for smoking because it was bad for you and an insult to jehovah.. how come nobody disfellowshipped the 400 pound sister who brought her own chair or stood in the back because she couldn't fit in her chair?.
why didn't anyone disfellowship the bookstudy leader for looking pregnant when he obviously wasn't.. why is cigarette addiction bad but not food addiction.. just wondering?
-

I'm sure the fat smokers out there are glad they can help you with that.
Glad I can be of help!!! =)
Candid...the third boob remark...oh my god that is a riot. I told my husband that, he laughed, but he doesn't see it that way for me hahaha....what the hell, he still is a good guy.

Not Many Brits Know That America Declared War On Us..
by Englishman inaccording to this article, the end of this particular war was the start of a strong bond, now known as a special relationship between our 2 countries.
http://www.napoleonguide.com/campaign_1812.htm.
and, ever since that date, the special relationship between britain and the usa has been totally fair and balanced with both countries giving and receiving in exactly equal amounts.. .

well, sure, 1812 was when the US kicked the Brit's ass...the only time the US was ever invaded by foriegn troops. ( not counting pearl harbor, because the Japaneese never invaded, they just attacked....so says my history buff husband)
We've been great friends ever since! Like a true gentleman, Brit gov stood up and said, ooops my bad! won't do it again. Come over for a cuppa sometime, will you ol chap?

Hoorah for Australia and Germany!
by Kenneson inas it now stands, the australian government has pledged $810 million to the tsunami relief effort.. germany is next with $674 million.. japan--$500 million.. u.s. trails in fourth place with $350 million.
http://news.yahoo.com/asiadisaster click on "leaders tour tsunami areas, up donations".
while the u.s. government could do a lot better, the private sector is not doing too badly.

I was very pleased when I saw what Australia gave, but not really surprised. They are a lot closer to the region after all, so I think they really appreciate how hard it the people are even more than the rest of the world may.
I don't know if the US is going to go any higher, I would be surprised, and I don't think the US is being cheap if they don't. There are a lot of things we need to get done here at home too. I am sure that sounds cold, but I don't want the US to promise more money than it can deliver, or end up taking money away from necessary programs here because they over extend. That wouldn't help anyone. If the US can, they great, I hope we can raise the amount. But I was hoping this wouldn't turn into a contest to see what country can give the most.
By the way, Germany can afford it, since it didn't spend any real money in Iraq. (oooo just poking the bear with a stick is all heehee)

President Bush donates $10,000
by yesidid in.
it has just been announced on cnn that president bush has contributed $10,000 of his own money to the tsunami victims.. poor guy he obviously doesn't have much money.. .
.

I don't think bashing Bush because he gave money to the relief effort is really worthwhile. I mean, come on, at least it is something. Sure, he may have a lot of money, but who is to say what each private citizen is or is not to donate. $10,000 is a lot of money to me. Who knows what else he and his family donate to every year?
Sandra Bullock, sure she gave $1Million, and she has given large donations in the past, and probably will again in the future. But her situation and Bush's financially may be a lot different. We shouldn't really judge others when they give, we should just follow their example and give what we can, if that means $1, $10 or whatever. How about looking at this and saying, damn at least the guy has a heart?
