when I was a kid, I used to hide my meeting shoes or my meeting clothes. We didn't have very much money, so I only usually had one pair of shoes fit for the hall or just a few dresses. I was so naughty...I didn't do it very often though...I felt guilty after, and by the time I was 12 was into the meetings...until about half way through my sophmore year...then I had too much homework, or had to work, etc.

I rather enjoy it so far. I think it is pretty well done for tv. I guess the reason I like it the most is because there were a few things that I could see coming, and slap my husband in the arm, and said...see what I tell you???
Bill Pullman isn't my favorite actor, but he is good at playing someone in angst.
I like medium too. I loved Dead Like Me...am a bit ticked that it was canceled. I really like Millennium too, until it really steered off course...kind of like the xfiles did the last few seasons...they should have ended that show 2 years earlier than they did.
I don't believe any of it either, but I like being able to watch this kind of stuff. And I really like the idea behind Dead Like Me. Is it true...naw...but it sure would be nice if when you die you had someone help you get to where you are supposed to be. I would volunteer to be a Reaper for a few years, heheh.

Car Wash Guilt Complex!!!
by prophecor indon't you feel terrible when you take your car to the car wash?
the folks who wash your car, immigrants, illegal aliens, and they work so hard and are always there, the same people dilligently washing your filthy car.
are they not some of hardest working people in america?

I don't worry about the car wash I go to...since our vehicles are 10 years old. I haven't had any problems yet.
I guess it doesn't bother me because I have had a lot of crappy jobs in my past. I delivered newspapers..when I was 12 and when I was in college and a single mom. I have been a waitress, a prep cook, a dishwasher, a janitor, factory jobs, I sold pictures from by walking in office buildings and hospitals (I got kicked out of quite a few, even escorted by security. "Oh, was there a no soliciting sign? I guess I missed it")...whatever it took to feed me and my child. I didn't want any pity, and I suspect most of those working these types of jobs today don't either. Empathy and respect. That and a decent tip. I even tip the Sonic people...a little extra for the ones that rollerskate to the car. They have my utmost respect, since I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.

Mothers Spit and Bandaids
by Lehaa injust had a kid come in needing a bandaid, just made me think of a friends comments the other day.
she reckons that all we need in the world is mothers spit and bandaids.
mothers spit cleans absolutely anything, and bandaids fix any ailment that a child can come up with.

A Dangerous Legal Precedent
by metatron ina jury in milwaukee awarded 17 million bucks to an 82 year old barber who got hit by a car.
driven by a church volunteer.
the archdiocese was held liable for the volunteers' actions.. (see wall street journal editorial page, march 17, 2005).. now, i'd like to see the watchtower crash and burn as much as anyone .... but i sincerely.

applied to businesses...this is why business usually carry liability insurance that covers there employees while they are driving on company business. I don't see anything wrong with this precendent IF the person that caused the harm did so whilst do any activity that has to do specifically with the business or organization.
This is why employers are supposed to screen their employees, and non profits their volunteers. So they shouldn't allow a brother who is a known reckless driver to be behind the wheel in field service, nor a pizza delivery guy with a bad driving record delivering for Dominos.
If I have a client that tells me they want the temp employee working for me to take on driving duties, I tell them no way, jose. That is a risk I refuse to take on, and our contracts state that.

HAHAHAAH!!! that is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.
Hell, they just ought take the chimp out of the viewing area for a few weeks, and let him go through the nerve wracking activity of smoking.
I wonder if I look like that when I smoke?
