i collect shot glasses--any that are different, unique, or just from your area. a stainless drink shaker/strainer is something i want to get for the bar, too. i love yankee candle tarts.......sweet smells are ok, but sometimes a little strong. the holidays are still pretty new, i love christmas. still working on getting my tree filled out with ornaments. homemade gifts ROCK knowing someone put time and thought into something is so very special.

i just can't wait--this is far too fun. it's already put me in the christmas spirit.....well this and my sister's Spritz cookies, heehee. i love ya teenie

when i was a jw kid, one of the ways we amused ourselves at assemblies, conventions, and the local kh was to play "spot the celebrity".

fortunately for us, the joyful throngs of jehovah's people were brimming with celebrity look-alikes, so we were able to enjoy many upbuilding sessions of "spot the celebrity".

I LOST MY JOB TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been searching for a job since march, and finally got one waiting tables at a pool hall.

they fired me today due to "pushing" someone that i asked to excuse me.

then i was told that my "attitude" was a reason.

sometimes these things are a blessing in disguise. it may not seem like it at first, but......

same sort of thing happened to me......my first "real" job after finishing school, i was working for an optometrist--thought everything was going along wonderfully. i buoght a new car, was getting all settled in and then BAM!!! without warning i lost my job. he only wanted me as a temp for about 8 months, but failed to tell me this from the beginning. i went home and walked through the door--busting into tears. did the whole unemployment office thing, but my mom told me just to get out there and find another job--i didn't have a choice, i needed the money. i found a job working at an optical lab (ewwwwww!! or so i thought). i ended up staying there for 3 years. the money sucked, but i learned so much and made new friends. when i left i had standing job offers from some of my accounts because they were so impressed with my work. something that seemed so negative in the begining really turned into something very, very positive. just remember, no matter how things look right now, 6 months down the road they'll seem completely different. looking back now, that first "real" job--i knew i'd have been miserable working for a jerk like that. there are plenty of jobs out there.....and maybe this is just a little notice that something better is going to come along. keep your chin up.
