most here are having big problems with jw's, and are either already out or on our way out.

From most posts read it just doesn't seem like mds is getting anymore support here, except for those mentioned above. But like you said this a public discussion board and a free country so prophesy away.

There's a great place called register.com where you can *buy* your own domain name. Why not set up a place where you and your followers can be *appreciated* The way you deserve. No one else here is listening. Or better yet, direct your lenghty prophecies to The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society!

i just read another passage where the nwt manages to slaughter the english language.. acts 21:30 .
nwt ...., and a running together of the people occurred:.... kjv ..., and the people ran together:.... niv ..., and the people came running from all directions.. this is an excerpt from the foreword of the nwt; it is a very responsible thing to translate the holy scriptures........into modern speech.

clearly there is a great deal of anti-jw sentiment here and elsewhere for that matter.
such feelings are generally directed at those at the heart of the organisation and there are no such feelings for the rank and file who are often very genuine people.. in actual fact there are some advantages in being a fully loaded jw and to be fair it would be interesting to note them down.

I am so sorry to hear that your daughter is so sick too! I will keep you all in my prayers. Was just re-reading your earlier post, had missed it before. I'm sorry that your mother has said awful things to you {{{hugs}}} I can't believe people can be so cruel and insensitive. It's really maddening to see them say things like that, like you said in the name of God. Hopefully they aren't doing it to be wicked though, but are in a way brainwashed. <Not that is still doesn't hurt just as much to hear words like that though>

Wow, I agree with happy! That is HORRIBLE!!! how mean rude and petty of those people to say things like that after you had suffered such a loss. {{{hugs}}} from me too see.
Not that it even compares with what you have suffered, but your story calls to mind when one of my little ones was very sick with a congenital defect after he was first born. The brothers came by to offer words of *encouragement* As we sat there listening here was one elders sage words of wisdom "Don't worry, If he dies now you'll see him in the resurrection." I was so infuriated I left the room and didn't look back or speak. I think that incident was the beginning of the end for me as far as the witnesses go. It's as if they are pre-programmed with certain responses for certain situations...walking "Reasoning Books" If you will. It seems as if though they worry so much about saying what is the *proper* thing to say within the context of their religion they forget to be REAL people and show the compassion and the love that is needed. They need to examine Jesus' examples of love, and stop worrying so much about what "The Organization" thinks!

why do people waste there time on this web site,jehovahs witness,discussion, if they cant stand jws, anymore ??

What "level" would that be exactly Gene? Some Sub-level that only those who are "strong in the truth" are able to rise above?
Almost everyone here has been or still is in "the orginization". Most have serious questions though that are not able to be answered by the WTBTS. For those who are still "active" any serious questions or doubts cannot be voiced in the forum of the congregation lest one be thought of as "apostate". This Forum has become like family to many who post here, And is a way to talk freely and perhaps get to the bottom of issues that those who are "In the truth" cannot or will not deal with with an open mind.
The people here for the most part are good people, with good hearts, and are not some subversive lot with nothing better to do than "stumble" those who are strong in their faith.
Thinking is not a bad thing Gene, having free thought is what allows one to grow and perhaps get closer to what "The Truth" of God and the universe really is.
I wish you well Gene, and if you are really offended by what you see here, then perhaps this is not the forum for you. I hope however that you will give it a chance and learn to expand your horizons beyond that of the doors of the Kingdom Hall.
