Thanks Biker Chic- I appreciate everything you do for the forum. And all the other assistants too! Really enjoy hearing all your replies on this. I'm going to try compiling a list the next couple days of the guitarists names that were mentioned on this thread and let you know how many votes or mention of different names were made to give you all an idea of who everybody thought were the top guitarists. It would be intereseting to compare. I'm kind of a statistical freak anyway, so it might be interesting to see what the consensus of the group was. Doesn't mean that others picks weren't important, musical tastes are so objective and varied, everybody has their own interests, just thought it might be interesting. I'll let you know what I found out in a couple days, the rankings of the guitarists. Thanks, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

What Lies or False Statements Has The Watchtower Society Been Guilty Of?
by minimus infor an organization that claims to be the heralder of the "truth", it seems they have a history of mistakes.
they assert that one must believe their "faithful slave" but who is that "slave"?
is it charles taze russell or all the anointed ones living on earth at a given time?

Minimus- Mr. Flipper here. Here's one. Show them when they come to your door at Romans 13:1 they are to be in subjection to the superior authorities as all authority is placed there by God anyway. They are to obey it ,if it doesn't conflict with God's laws. Then ask them, Do you think God approves of not reporting felony child abusers to the authorities to be punished by the law ? Then see what they say. I actually did this to an elder at my door. For them to falsely say they need to keep this confidential smacks of contributing to the delinquency of felons breaking the laws. Checkmate! Stick a fork in any of their other beliefs! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Dragonlady, I heard the Transiberian Orchestra was good. Knew someone who went. Blondie- I would have enjoyed seeing the Eagles live. They did make a good mark on fusing country with rock music. Timothy Schmidt, their bass player was or is a local Sacramento California boy, who by the way was in Poco, another country rock band, and I really like his songwriting. Real moody good songs he wrote. I have some of his solo work. Good stuff!! He has a real high pitched soulful depressing singing voice. Good for meditating on life's troubles

Do Witness Teenagers take the Organization's Rules Seriously?

Blondie & Kabong- Very true! The young people do see so much hypocrisy in adults, how could adults expect them to take anything the Watchtower says seriously? We can't expect kids to do what we won't do ourselves. It's better these young ones can escape an organization designed to control them the rest of their natural lives. Good luck to all young ones and peace to you, for you are the future! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Yeah Animal, I guess we all did things as teenagers that would have shocked old ladies and our parents. So it shouldn't surprise us about our own kids too. As long as my kids end up hopefully decent ,respectful young adults, I'll be happy. I've got one son 22 who is a hell of a lot more respectful than my 2 witness daughters. Yet he's the one who doesn't believe in religion. It stands to reason, doesn't it? Peace and sanity to all parents out there, Peace out ,Mr. Flipper

Another up and coming guitarist, well he's been around awhile but on their last cd, Stadium Arcadium, it seemed like Red Hot Chili Peppers were letting John Frusciante I think his name is, play astounding lead guitar. Like I said, best album I've heard in years, check it out if you haven't. They let him go at it and jeez did he perform! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Hello again y'all, Mr. Flipper here. I see some of you did see Paul McCartney and thought it was great also. God, I'm so envious of some of you having seen Pink Floyd, would have loved that or Zeppelin. I have a new dvd that came out last year of Robert Plant with his new group performing live, called Robert Plant and the Strange Sensations. Great new music by him and the group. Good stuff! Check it out if you get a chance

Nvr- How can I count the ways? Have been pissed off for years that even though I had a 3.5 gpa in high school, because of not being allowed to further my education had to provide for my young wife in my early 20's and 3 young kids at 27 with commercial janitorial working tiring nights for now what's 25 years. And as my life goes on I reflect of being pissed at having to marry so young at 19, because it was the only acceptable or "legal" way in the witnesses view to have legitimate sex. Hell of a reason to get married, eh? Then getting pissed later because first wife wanted to talk with the elders about "stuff" we did in bed without talking to me first about it! Then to find out she was being overrighteous about it as the new"light" had changed on that subject of what married people do with each other. Then getting pissed to find out all along, it really wasn't the elders business anyway! On a more important broader scope though, the Watchtower really pisses me off by allowing child molesters to continue in good standing in their organization and put children at risk by this. And , that "alledgedly" some top members who still run the organization are guilty of this crime. May their corpses rot and burn in hell for the pain they've caused in dividing families by not only this ,but by disfellowshipping people and trying to dictate to people who they can or can't talk to. Most of all also, I hate the control they bizarrely excersice in people's lives. And still I remain a man who survived it and found I have a valuable life after the Watchtower! The joke was on them! They couldn't crush me! Peace to all my fading friends and others on this site and elsewhere
