Bigdreaux- We've all had those days , as many have already told you, but hang in there. Tomorrow is another day, the sun will always come up, and you'll have another chance to screw up another day.Just teasing, you'll do great believe me. Just positive thinking is needed, and this always helps me, keep a good sense of humor about other things in life that can buoy up your spirits. I like to laugh at things, helps me cope day to day too. Hang in there, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

What sort of a witness were you?
by brinjen ini'm talking door to door service work here.
were you the kind who would insist on getting a conversation at ever door?
or where you (like me) the kind who would take a "not interested" as an excuse to get the hell out of the householders face?

Brinjen, Mr. Flipper here. I was like you, if they said they were'nt interested, I took it that way and left, saying have a good day. I worked "embarrassingly" in service with aggressive elders who even if the householder was nice they'd insist on almost sticking their foot in their door and keep witnessing. A couple quick experiences, at age 8 me and a friend got scared at the door by a lady speaking tongues to us, we ran off. At age 25 me and a buddy were standing at a door waiting, and a lady ( good looking I might add) came down the stairway in our full view in nothing but her skin. Obviously, she was waiting for someone else. My buddy said, "What do we do?? Should we leave? I said no, she needs the good news too. And I knocked again"!!! She never came, Oh well, her loss!! Then at age 35 working rurals, a literal goat stood on a front porch and tried to gore me in the groin. I put my bookbag up as protection and he gored a big hole in it, ripping up the awakes and Watchtowers. Then he tried sticking his head in my bag, trying to eat the spiritual food. To say the least, I've had some odd experiences

Are ex-JW still gullible or serpent-like?
by BEROEAN injust wondering if ex-jws find it hard to trust others since their bad experience or are they still gullble souls?
just wondering because some of the stories i read about past experiences are off the charts!
some of you, your childhoods, your parents are seriously jacked up!

Beroean- Most of us were smart enough to become inactive when we left this org. When you leave the org. you're going to get dissed anyway you look at it. Fading or otherwise. Quite frankly, I don't see why you're not smart enough to get out now while you are still living a double life and not really believing it, but just giving everybody a line of BS. Anyway it's more emotionally unstable & schitzo to play games and remain in a cultish organization like you do, all the while dissing everybody and their uncle. I don't know where you got your social skills, but to condemn everybodies relatives is uncalled for. Alot of people on this board are so much more supportive & emotionally stable than any hypocritical witness could ever be. By the way, what are your @$#*&% relatives like??? Be nice or don't write anything at all

Jeez Louise, Beroean, take a chill. I think you could cut these guys a little slack - if you read their stories you can see that most of them are intelligent people with strong character, and very few like to boast or insult the others. After all, I'm the only one whose gotten a bit huffy with you on this thread and I never was a JW. Now that I think about it, you are the only person I've ever got huffy with here - we have a special relationship! flipper

Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?
by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.
what about the thousands that don't get caught?

Hey everybody, just wanted to use this to let you know news which is on Mrs. Flippers post, in case you missed it. KFBK talk radio 1530 in Sacramento, California on the news today is reporting that 3 child abuse victims got their financial settlement and that 7,000 others have come forward with accusations of molestation against the Witnesses. Most likely as some have written, these are the same 7,000 which have contacted Silent Lambs for assistance. The 3 victims were from Woodland, California. Keep it publicized, spread the word wherever you are. Peace, Mr. Flipper

Reason for no Windows in Kingdumb Halls? Duh!! Let's see, hide what they're doing?? Any seconds on that motion? Mr. Flipper. Secondly, it makes their members less distracted and more controlled to pay attention, not let minds wander. Thirdly, no one can witness parents beating the hell out of their kids if there are no windows, less spanking and screaming noise. Am I onto something here? Peace, Mr. Flipper

How Did Being Referred To As A Brother Or Sister Make You Feel?
by The wanderer in<!-- .style1 { font-family: arial; font-size: 18px; color: #009933; } .style2 { font-family: arial; font-size: 16px; color: #009933; } .style3 { font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; } .style4 {font-family: verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: italic; } --> how did being referred to as a brother or sister make you feel?the term brother always reminded me of being in some militant or holy roller religion.
during my tenure as a jehovahs witness, i brought it to the elders attention to refer to .
me by using my first or last name when addressing me.

Wanderer, Mr. Flipper here. To me using the term brother or sister so and so, was so impersonal. Kind of like it meant they didn't have to use your first name. It put everybody into the same pot or category, almost excusing anybody from getting to close to you by keeping things on a formalistic last name plane. It pissed me off, so I would just call the elders or others by their first name thereby hoping they'd get the hint and call me by my first name. Only close friends got the hint . Others would call me brother so and so. I'd say thanks, Susan or Dave. They'd look at me kinda weird. Even had meetings where we were counseled over the platform to call each other brother so and so by our last names, not first names out of "respect". To me it showed more disrespect, because it was so formal, you felt intimidated to get to know anybody better. It's just nice now to be myself, and not have to play the mind games anymore, which I never did anyway. Peace, Mr. Flipper
