Did You See Married Couples Arguing Loud in Public,Kingdom Hall, Anywhere ?

i touched on this answering another thread and it made me think.
i remember seeing fairly often married couples at times verbally sparring in public at times in the kingdom hall or parking lot.

Mr. Flipper here. It is true like you guys and gals say that most fighting is done in private at home because of saving face in front of others. Thats why I asked the question. Seeker 4 you crack me up! It has always amazed me when I was a witness how some could be so mean to their husband or wife at home when no one is watching, then come and put on a fake or upbeat painted smile for the congregation. My ex wife of 19 years divorced she's still a witness was a magician at being fake sweet to everybody, then a tyrant at home. Personally, I'm not wired that way, what you see is what you get. If I was gonna be the same at home as I was at the kingdom hall, then at least I didn't confuse my family as to what person they would get next!.Any thoughts? Interesting stuff, huh? by flipper inhello ex-elders, onthe wayout, snakes, and wilyloman, just to refresh about a month ago i told you all that the appeal committee had overturned the disfellowshipping decision by the original jc as the appeal committee got a hold of me by phone and told me the society gave them direction in this.
i have since explained the situation to my witness mom and dad, 80 &82, they are good with it.
i am taking copies of the counsel you ex elders gave to me to be careful about what i say at this "alleged encouragement" meeting and promise you this, i'll watch my words carefully when they ask me questions.

Three Stars- your point is well taken, most people aren't aware of the extent of abuse the native americans went through. I am happy for the tribes that they are able to make a living and a life with the casinos. May they all be blessed with a more secure life than their forefathers were

How did your JC meeting affect your life?

i had only one experience of being counseled by the elders, and it was in a tribunal thingy many years ago when i was 18 living at home with my 'presiding overseer' father.
my dad was overly upset imagining i was smoking pot!???

Stained, so sorry to hear you went through that. Was I correct in hearing Ted Jaracz was alone in the room with you? Dear god in hell, I can't think of anything worse! You poor woman! I see he tried his black mail trick with you too. He alledgedly has tried that with others in the past too. These days he blackmails the entire jw organization into submission, alledgedly. I had a jc meeting in 1998 and was totally intimidated and shrank in fear. Then this year I was falsely accused had all my ducks in a row, and took a firm but respectful stand against the allegations. Then the appeal committee overturned the original jc committee's decision to df me. I no longer am intimidated by these men. They are like you and me. They bleed red when cut, have warts on certain parts of their bodies, and I'm sure they fart in front of their wives at times. Normal humans, nothing more, nothing less. Well maybe abnormal but nothing to fear. In essence their craziness made me more determined in my convictions to avoid the cult. So it backfired on them ,it empowered me. by Crumpet ini was just reading some of my old diaries and wanted to share it particularly for anyone who feels despair, who is locked into the society through family and especially for any young lurkers still in.
i wrote this shortly after i turned 15. comments in brackets are my own to clarify.. tuesday 1st may 1990. you know i frequently wish that there was some arrangement whereby you could go to sleep and never have to go through the trouble of waking up.
i dont believe one can ever actually be truly happy.
