What a fucking idiot this guy is, good god. I felt like taking that glass and breaking it over his bald egg shaped dome. Stupid ass. I agree with other posters it's an extremely ignorant way of using fear to scare JW's into not going to college by breaking the glass at the end. What a perverse thing to do ! Even more perverse to say that higher education is useless and good for nothing . This WT organization is criminal and stealing away young JW's future's one by one. Sick stuff. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

DECEMBER 2018 WATCHTOWER STUDY ARTICLE...Many loyal Christians have remained with an unbelieving mate under very trying circumstances.
by RULES & REGULATIONS indecember 2018 study article :.
honor “what god has yoked together”.
17 admittedly, there have been instances where an “unbelieving husband” seems to prove that he is not “agreeable to staying with her.” he might be extremely physically abusive, even to the point that she feels that her health or life is in danger.

It's disgusting how the WT Society STILL after all these years crosses over personal boundaries in which they have no business or authority to cross over .
One of the reasons I left the JW organization over 15 years ago was because I was in an abusive marriage with a methamphetamine addicted wife who the elders told me I should get back together with. This woman was violent, angry, and SHE left me- I did not leave her- she wanted out so she could continue being a tweeker doing her drugs. She was a dangerous person for my then teenage children to be around.
In spite of that fact- the elders in my congregation told me I should get back with her even though this soon to be ex-wife was refusing to have 2 of my JW children visit us at the house. And the elders told me I should visit my JW children at a neutral park to accomodate this drug addict wife's wishes. They said it was a GOOD thing that my wife wanted to get back with me, in spite of her treatment of my JW children.
I essentially told the elders they were crazy, and asked them what the source of their counsel was ? That's when I saw that JW elders are more concerned about " outward appearances " in congregations , than anybody actually being content and happy - even if it puts your children at risk. When I saw the elders didn't care about my then teenage children, I said to myself " screw this " and before a meeting I got my books off my seat and walked out the kingdom hall door never to go back. The blinders had come off my eyes and I had my awakening to TTATT. Best decision I ever made to leave that crap. Peace out,

Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?
by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.
what about the thousands that don't get caught?

DOCTOR WHO- Interesting thoughts. Isn't it insane that although the child molester in your mom's congregation was jailed- he was never dfed ? Goes to show that in the REAL world justice many times prevails but within the JW congregations justice is perverted and non existent many times. People like your mom will make excuses for JW elders because they're " good speakers " or pass it off on the abuse victim as " having mental issues " .
JW's do this type of mind shuffling ( cognizant dissonance ) because they cannot compute how child abuse could be happening in " Jehovah's loving organization " . The are so naive it's scary. I knew of many other JW's just like your mom who would not or could not admit that child abuse was rampant in congregations. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

The "abused" becomes the "abuser"
by stuckinarut2 ina thought occurred to me about the perpetuation of jw abusive culture.. (i do not mean sexual abuse - i am referring to emotional, or behavioural abuses).
most jws are raised in the oppressive and abusive culture of jw life.
they have been raised with low self esteem.

STUCKINARUT- You are spot on correct in every word in your opening thread. I totally agree. The emotional and mental abuse continues as these born in, raised in JW's get to adulthood and raise their own children in the same ultra strict shitty world view. I'm a beneficiary of my oldest daughter raising my grandchild in this twisted JW world view as my 3 year old grandson barely even knows me. So far , about the only time I've been allowed to see him has been JW funerals of relatives. Like that's conducive to any kind of NORMAL relationship ? So fucked up. It's like he probably associates me his grandfather- with death .
I swear to god if I had the power to make it happen - this cult and it's destructive agenda's and ideas would vanish in a heartbeat. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

This is Robert Plant's cool guitarist in his current band named Justin Adams. He's a world music musician, brilliant on guitar as well as African stringed instruments. Here's a sample of his solo work from the year 2000.

HECCE- You make some really good points. It's so true that child molesters might get " disciplined " in the JW congregations- but many of them as you say walk around free as a bird without being prosecuted by authorities.
And in my opinion- therein lies one of the huge problems with elders not being instructed by the WT Society to do mandatory reporting to police of child abuse cases in their congregations. Your statement, " My impression is that SOME of the cases were not reported to authorities....... " . I would change that statement to " My impression is that MOST of the cases were not reported to authorities.... . "
And THAT is a huge reason that child molesters within this JW organization keep getting away with it. They get a minimal " slap on the wrist " , lose " privileges " in the congregation if they are just " reproved " , then work their way back up to being ministerial servants or elders again ! Or if they do get dfed , I've heard of cases where a child molester is reinstated 6 months or only 1 year later back into the " loving arms " of the " brotherhood " .
So how fucked up is that ? WT Society wants to be it's own judge, jury, and executioner - and they really don't want police authorities meddling at all inside their congregations. Have we also mentioned JW's are a mind control cult ? Now we see how that's so true.
RATTIGAN - Comparing what your girlfriend did to you as an adult as compared to what children suffer being abused as children- is disrespecting the pain and horror of child abuse. I'm quite sure you didn't suffer from your girlfriend. Let's be real here.
DOCTOR WHO- I'm sorry you knew so many who were hurt and molested. I knew a lot too who were hurt. And as you said , it was most times always swept under the carpet within the JW organization and the Catholic organization. Disgusting.
VIDIOT- So true the points you make. With the huge number of pedophiles and molesters within the JW organization, we all knew someone most probably who was a serial molester. After exiting the organization I checked on the California registered sex offenders list- and out of 1,000 molesters in the town I was raised up in as a JW - I recognized 12 JW's or ex-JW's I knew on that list from my 25 years in my hometown. Sick.
I worry about my grandson constantly, knowing he's being raised in this mind control cult where it's members are told to be too trusting of " brothers & sisters " . There are unscrupulous pedophiles most probably hanging out in every congregation. Scares the hell out of me for his future. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

"We don't do that" - Serena Williams talking about celebrating birthdays
by vivalavida ini guess you can be physically out, like in a huge way, but definitely mentally in.. serena williams claims she won't be celebrating her daughter's first birthday.. i did know people like that, raised as a jw but never actually baptizing.
that didn't mean they were not messed up in the head though..

Yep. Mental gymnastics here of a wealthy " sometimes " JW. She'll have sex out of wedlock to bring a child into the world( which would get her DFed as a baptized JW ) , yet in her twisted view it's wrong to honor her own child's life by celebrating her child's birthday. Is it any wonder that most people associated with WT or JW beliefs are so fucked up ?
What's worse is WT Society won't blink an eye at what Serena Williams does or doesn't do - as long as she keeps most probably donating some of her millions $$$ to the WT Society and " worldwide kingdom work " , uh, I mean " pedophile defense fund " .
Not only many times do criminal religions get free passes in their conduct, but so do wealthy brats, whether they are sports stars, actors, or presidents. lol. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

DOUBTER- Ask yourself why your reasoning is all black & white. Either " this " - or " that "
Reason on this : WT leaders can order their own appointed elders in these document destroying seminars to get rid of any incriminating evidence that elders have in their local congregations so as to protect WT leaders from litigation and lawsuits worldwide.
But that doesn't mean WT leaders will follow their own advice with any information that THEY personally have on child molesters within their own legal department information. WT leaders trust themselves to keep and sit on that database file under lock and key - however - they do NOT trust the worldwide " brotherhood " of elders Mr. Tom, Dick, or Harry elder in who knows what god forsaken country exposing them to lawsuits.
Thus the need for further damage control over elders who might squeal to news media, police authorities, etc. - just make a policy enforcing all elders to destroy any incriminating evidence in congregation files.
I don't get how you don't understand WT leaders would require elders to do that- but they would not expect the same of themselves. The elders are under the Governing Body- what the GB says, the elders do. Even if the GB don't do it. Example : Many GB members don't go out in field service, but expect publishers & elders to knock on doors. Get my drift ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I totally understand my friend. I was once where you are. It was easier for me to express my pissed off attitude towards the WT Societies child abuse policies- because I didn't learn about WT child abuse violations until several years after I had stopped attending in 2003. Didn't find out about it until 2007. So I understand the dilemma you are in . I empathize. Take care bud, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
