Today I learnt that some people can never give an honest response (offline - so it doesn't refer to anyone here)

What's the deal with R.Crusoe?????
by AWAKE&WATCHING inhis first post in march:.
teacher once told me less than 10% of people really try to understand.. most jump to conclusions coz that's how they're conditioned from way back.. few will change whether you're in jwo or outside.. it's the way we tick!.
that 90% are everywhere in different measure.. ain't it the same the world over?.

I once took a walk down a country lane admiring the trees, birds, wild flowers and flora and fauna in general. The person I was with just noticed all the dog shit in the gutter. Like I said - you don't know me and my inclination to explain myself to you is on a similar par with the stuff on my walk - there's too much good about me to harp on about what you might stand in - unlike others I won't mention who are up to their necks. Like I said on another post - I couldn't be arsed waiting the three days after Crusoefication to re-appear and who invited you onto my island anyway? Why are you here? Who do you think you are some kinda bigshot??? Is this your new liberation movement? And note the kinda woman I'm impressed by on that other thread before you come sweet talking me! Understood!!!!!!!!!
It is true that life is often a matter of perspective.
One of my main gripes with the Watchtower is that they train people to see the bad and to focus on it.
Once you are overwhelmed by the darkness, they offer you the solution - but it means following them.
I have not been keeping up to date with all these posts on here - so I'm not sure what you are referring to.
Who is your post addressed to ?

because there is 3000 miles between us and the subject has not come up.. well one of them has emailed me a jpg copy of each page of the public edition of the wt.. i was feeling a little ornery, and i replied back.
i said wow having a private copy and then a public copy of the wt makes me feel like a secret agent.

The Jan Public and Private editions are on here - is it the same one ? They are both in my TOPIC history if anyone is interested.
I'd ask them to point out some of this nutritious meat and then you can have the pleasure of explaining to them that it is actually poison.
I'm sure that whatever they say is meat is easy enough to pull apart.

"Oops" is something the WTS has never said. But genuine people admit their mistakes.
*** g97 10/8 p. 18 Life Is Different Down Under ***So if you arrive in Australia from a country where right-hand driving is the norm, your first steps across a busy road may prove hazardous. Your ingrained ‘look to the left, then to the right, and then to the left again’ road-crossing routine could be disastrous. Now you must think, ‘look to the right, then to the left, and then to the right again’ before crossing. Well done! You are learning fast. Oops! You almost got into the car on the wrong side. You forgot that the driver sits on the right-hand side in this country!
*** g92 2/8 p. 9 Divorce—Its Bitter Harvest ***Backpedaling, of course, is fairly easy for the "experts." All they have to do, in effect, is say, "Oops! Sorry!" and start singing a different tune. It is not so easy for the thousands of people who followed their advice. Still, victims of divorce can learn crucial lessons from their bitter experience, such as the one epitomized at Psalm 146:3, 4: "Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."
I was bored. Sorry. Actually, is it just me, or does the description of "backpeddling / backpedaling" sounds very Watchtowerlike ? It is their style exactly, except for the "Oops! Sorry". You were totally right Gopher.

I had high hopes for this thread...
...what with it filed under "Scandals" etc, I was hoping that you were going to provide us with another photo collage exposing me as a Watchtower Troll

Thanks Proplog2.
You got me thinking... so I went looking.
I found this :
*** it-2 p. 513 Number, Numeral ***Multiples of 12 are also sometimes significant. David established 24 divisions of the priesthood to serve by turn in the temple later built by Solomon. (1Ch 24:1-18) This assists in identifying the "twenty-four elders" who were seated round about God’s throne in white outer garments and who were wearing crowns. (Re 4:4) The footstep followers of Jesus Christ, his spiritual brothers, are promised kingship and priesthood with him in the heavens. These elders could not be only the apostles, who numbered just 12. They therefore evidently represent the entire body of the "royal priesthood," the 144,000 (as represented in the 24 priestly divisions serving at the temple) in their positions in the heavens, as crowned kings and priests.—1Pe 2:9; Re 7:4-8; 20:6.
It's still the usual Watchtower speak as they use the word "evidently" rather than definitive language.
