Let's not forget pulling the rug from under the feet of the anointed in the May 1st 2007 Watchtower :

How should a person be viewed who has determined in his heart that he is now anointed and begins to partake of the emblems at the Memorial?
He should not be judged. The matter is between him and Jehovah. (Romans 14:12)

However, genuine anointed Christians do not demand special attention.
They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special "insights," beyond what even some experienced members of the great crowd may have. They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the other sheep have; nor do they expect special treatment or claim that their partaking of the emblems places them above the appointed elders in the congregation. They humbly remember that some anointed men in the first century did not qualify to serve as elders or ministerial servants. (1 Timothy 3:1-10, 12, 13; Titus 1:5-9; James 3:1)

Some anointed Christians were even spiritually weak. (1 Thessalonians 5:14) And sisters, although anointed, did not teach in the congregation.—1 Timothy 2:11, 12.

Hence, anointed Christians along with their other sheep companions strive to stay spiritually strong, cultivating the fruitage of the spirit and working for the peace of the congregation.

All Christians, whether anointed or of the other sheep, work hard at preaching the good news and making disciples under the direction of the Governing Body. Anointed Christians are content to do this for as long as it is God's will that they remain on earth as Jehovah's servants.

12 A fundamental reason for showing proper respect for the faithful slave class is that by so doing, we are in fact showing respect for the Master, Jesus Christ. i have just returned from a fairly long weekend of car journeys (about 1000 miles in all).. as i was on the motorway just now, staring at all the lights whizzing around me, something occured to me.

first the lights looked like this:.

The last bit of the journey was a 6 hour motorway journey with no radio or CDs etc - there wasn't much else to do except drive and think. Dangerous really

SPIRITUALITY THROUGH THE UNIVERSE

i've not hidden the fact that i'm an atheist, something i've come to through what i believe is thorough research and experience.

however, while i no longer consider myself religious i do believe i am spiritual.. i do not believe the universe was created by an all powerful being, but that the universe is that all powerful being.

in other words, we are all part of the universe, as are all sentient and insentient bodies, and we are subject to its laws.

I have long suspected that we are all part of "the being" of the universe. I do believe that we are all cogs in the machine - yet I believe that that machine is greater than the sum of it's parts.

Something happened to be today that made me see it a bit clearer.

I have just returned from a fairly long weekend of car journeys (about 1000 miles in all).
As I was on the motorway just now, staring at all the lights whizzing around me, something occured to me. First the lights looked like this:

I was on a road that is known as an "Arterial Road" which combined with the flow of red objects away from me made me think of the system of arteries in our bodies.

In our bodies, the main function of the blood cells is to "collect" oxygen and "deliver" it to the rest of our body.

All over the country, in fact, all over the world, WE as indivuals are whizzing around the closed system in which we exist, "collecting" and "delivering" things to each other.

We may deliver physcial objects or we may deliver information to each other.

The really had an impact on me, it made me consider the fact that we actually are ONE BODY. We are all "cells" in the body.

The important thing is what we collect and deliver :

Blood cells can carry other things besides life giving oxygen - they can carry toxins. In fact, the blood cells PREFER Carbon Monoxide to Oxygen, yet it is lethal.

Just like our blood cells, WE are capable of delivering that which is life giving and that which is toxic. Sometimes the toxic package is the easier one to carry.

So now I will try to ponder the contents of every "package" that I deliver to another being.

my jw mom lives in nyc and she said that her cong.

gave out forms from the borg.they want to know where each person would go for refuge in case of a disaster like katrina.

it was suggested that each make arrangements to stay with a relative,(no objection to wordly company there), a friend,(yes, like they have any), or another jw who lives away from the city.

i was reading through some of the letters to the boe and one of them made this statement: .

caution regarding photocopiers: some photocopiers keep an electronic copy of whatever is copied.

to ensure confidentiality, elders should never use commercial photocopiers to make copies of documents that contain confidential congrgation information, such as the s-77 form.

parts of light appear as different colours - all electomagnetic forces yet still the colour is mere perception, dependent on whether the light rays are absorbed or reflected by the object they fall upon.

white may indeed be black and black be white - perceptions!

I think that the word that describes it is Akasha.

When I was younger, I would focus on those gaps that you mentioned and sort of "fall into them". I now know that I was practising my own form of meditation.

But the odd thing is that the matter (or maybe "light" vibrating at lower frequencies [frozen light] to "imitate" matter) is contained within something - what ?

As you say, everything has gaps in it - even us.

Maybe it is the gaps - maybe the gaps are the thing that link us all - if the gaps were a substance onto which all form and matter is "imprinted" then we all all existing on the same "blank canvas".

Akasha :

there is no such thing as empty space in the universe. Esoteric Science teaches that the entire Cosmos is pervaded by Akasha, primordial substance, or rather the noumenon - the non-sensuous reality - beyond substance. In the Theosophical Glossary, Akasha (from a Sanskrit word meaning "brilliant" or "luminous") is described as "the subtle, supersensuous spiritual essence which pervades all space". This primordial substance differentiates into all the forms of matter, those of the invisible as of the visible regions of the universe. Akasha has a definition of 'that which does not hinder'. It is essentially the fact that there is the possibility of 'somewhere' for things to exist in, and in this way it exists only as a negative definition. It has no positive qualities - even no positive existence. But of course if it did not exist, then there would be no absence of obstruction, so there would be no possibility of objects existing in the universe, since there would be nowhere for them to exist.
